I’m hearing more and more people say the level of violence on video games is really shaping young people’s thoughts, and then you go the further step, and that’s the movies. You see these movies, and they’re so violent, and yet a kid is able to see the movie if sex isn’t involved, but killing is involved, and maybe they have to put a rating system for that.

What I really want to know is why they have two ratings that are a year apart.

as funny as it is, the rating systems we have does actually suck horribly. tv, games, movies, all of them.

What's the difference between "take your kids" and "see it with your kids"?

"see it with your kids" implies a conversation after or being there if things get too scary for younger children

There's a large difference between games getting out of control (some are with the loot boxes, but another time another place blease) and parents not being parents.

I mean it's parenting 101 to know the ratings and understand what does and doesn't frighten your kids. Though I am a person would probably let my kids watch some pg-13 stuff (As they get closer to adulthood I may think a rated r film might be suitable idk), but I would keep an eye on them to see how they are dealing with things and how it basically soaks into them. Instead of going to the theaters thinking a rated R movie called "Deadpool" is a super hero movie that my noisy 5 year old can watch and not piss people off despite how noisy they are, on Valentines day of that year (Seriously **** you whomever done that).
