The console version was too hard for kids to beat. You start getting enemies who deal upwards of 100 damage in one hit, food has limited healing, and the highest HP out of all the characters is 680 (Stump Smash). And he was very hard to play as, in my opinion. So, you'll be down in four–six hits from a Magic Spell Punk or one of those knight things, very few characters have a self-healing, and food is rare. The turning point for me was around the Undead area of levels.

Not sure if 3DS was any better, though.

I like Trap Team because it’s Pokémon.

My brother and I bought the original for very specific characters: me for Whirlwind and Sonic Boom, him for Drobot and Camo. We were both super curious about Spyro and Cynder, though, and thought it would be a good Spyro game to start with. Boy, did that take a turn.
