I think Ghost Story is a better title than Discordia, come to think of it. I'm not even sure I like the name Discordia at all. So, Ghost Story it is... for now, at least. I mean, a lot of the game does involve spirits, which are very similar to ghosts. It makes sense. Although technically not a typical ghost story, I'd say the way it's structured is very similar to one.

Currently working on the map for Seraph Inn, which - like several maps - will mostly be a sample map. Too lazy to come up with my own RN. Doesn't matter, Ghost Story will be trash anyway. However, I may go back and make my own maps later, because I don't like using sample maps. It depends.

Oh, FR banned a guy that was making a silly Ugandan Knuckles joke(literally just a few KLK edits and adding friends to 'show them da wae'). I bet it might be because trying to send friend requests to blocked users is exploiting a glitch.

...Oh, he's banned because the meme is racist and the staff don't like it anyway? When they said before they'd never disclose why they ban a certain user?

I think I'll sit out of the forums today and figure out this Twitter thing instead.

edit: ok, the staff actually responded and said it's mostly for the hot topic issue and allowing that one would allow more harmful use. Faith in the staff restored, though I do hope they actually do these responses more instead of posting in a random thread that's easily missed.

It was pretty funny and I did see people with friend request quests before, but yeah it was actual spam and circumventing glitches by repeatedly trying with people that blocked them. The others with the quests go on the forum or ask in the profile, at least the ones that I've seen, this will just get people to hate you.

My relatives just uploaded a music video, and while it’s definitely awesome and creative, I feel like it’s the type of video that people find years later and are all like “Am I high?” “Oh, I’m on the weird side of YouTube again,” etc.

Decided to make my own maps. Currently on Frost's Domain, and it is just as bland as I expected. And so much blue! I'm sure it won't be well-liked, but **** it. The whole thing will not be "liked" at all. Now, how many dungeons have I got to make? Let's see... 12 at the least. Huh, shouldn't be too hard if they're gonna be as crap as this. I'm really overestimating the whole thing.

Think I'll change the title back to Discordia too. It just sounds right.

Okay, so I've done Frost and Void, now all I've got to do is make the prologue dungeon. Frost's Domain will likely only be seen in cutscenes, same as most Domains.

Finished designing Tower of Frost. Still a lot of blue, but it should work. Now for the events... I suck at writing though. But, ah well, as I said, it'll be trash anyway.

DarkSpyro seems weirder than usual today. Or maybe that's the lack of sleep kicking in, and this is just the start. I dunno.

I should probably be doing something about this, but my options are limited. I count two paths right now, and a third that is more of a shot in the dark than anything, unreliable.

If you want a good song for English classes, just use DK Rap or Infinite's theme, everyone will love those.

Believe it or not, we learned from very cheesy pop songs at the time. Stuff like Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce. I'd be lying if I said I enjoyed listening to them over and over, but they were amazing to learn how to pronounce certain strange words. Then again, someone leaning PT-BR will say the same about "concerto".

I knew I'd be reminded regularly that Bifrost is not about a super cold thing daily, after Thor started getting Marvel's attention.

Somewhere in the dark corners of the internet, the OC I made with that name with icicle skin still regrets their entire existence.

Looks like Discordia will also be discontinued an forgotten, just like every other project I've tried, except this one won't get uploaded at all. Yeah - unless I somehow get a sudden burst of inspiration, I'm not going on. I by far lack the ideas or willpower to make this even slightly interesting.

Guess I'll instead reupload Forest Dungeon for the last time, maybe with a little extra content to make up for my failures. It's the very least I can do.

In the end, I did manage to achieve my lifelong dream of making my own videogame... technically. FD isn't that good, and hardly popular, but it's better than nothing.

new mercy changes are ridiculous. now she is only the tf2 medic who can rez every 30 seconds. no more multi rez just one every 30 seconds. this makes playing mercy boring and non rewarding. her cast time in ult is also slower for no reason which makes it quite worthless. this is worse than roadhog's changes. all mercy is now is a slave who heals and flies. what a fun character.

Looks like I gained some inspiration again. Let's hope it stays this way. Now that I know what kind of game this will be, it is easier to make choices, rather than throwing **** at a wall. It will be kind of like a horror game - I did not initially intend for it to be so, but with every choice I make, it seems to go further down that route.

I'm not sure on the title right now, however. I've got three main ideas, each with their own pros and cons:

Ghost Story
+Quite short, simple, doesn't indicate towards anything in particular.
+The story and pacing are similar to a typical ghost story.
+Involves a lot of "ghosts", and the entire game more or less revolves around them.
-Too generic for this kind of idea.
-Despite what I said earlier, it is still very different from this kind of story.

Discordia
+Very obvious choice, since a lot of the game takes place in Discordia, and many important plot points are made there too.
+Works well as a chapter name, fitting in with other titles such as Mika and Seraph.
-"Title names" are way too common, moreso than any other kind, even big-name franchises like Fire Emblem and Etrian Odyssey have them.
-Now, Discord is more commonly associated with the website rather than its' original meaning.

Theatre of Pain
+Works very well with the overly grim atmosphere of the game.
+Totally badass and eye-catching in every possible way.
-I really hate naming titles after songs and/or bands (in this case, the song by Blind Guardian).
-A bit too long compared to other, shorter titles.

They're the main title ideas I have right now. There are a few others that I have briefly considered, like Harvest of Sorrow, Ghost Opera, The First Wave, and Asphodel, but they tend to have far more cons than pros.

The game title isn't the only important thing. I'm unsure on some character names right now, like Hana/Tony. I can't decide whether to name her Hana or Tony. No pros or cons here, just depends which convention I should use. Anyway, she's just an NPC who gets killed in the prologue, plays a big part in Mika's backstory, not much else besides that. So in regards to Hana/Tony, it's more about how she would compliment Mika than being her own character.

Word choices can make or break a game too. Just choosing between two different words can really change the atmosphere. That's one of the main reasons I decided to continue - previously, Void sounded more like an angsty teen, now he actually sounds like a villain. I need to keep this pace for the rest of the game.

For NPCs, Hana/Tony is the only one I have a hard time deciding on. Names like Leif are more obvious, and their roles aren't as important as Hana/Tony. Leif only shows up for no more 20 lines of dialogue, I think.

If I set a goal of one chapter per day and work really hard to achieve said goal, I could probably finish this is just over a week. I should do that. Better than simply picking it up and putting it down again, as I'll lose momentum that way. I'll get used to keeping the pace if I keep working, and that could make a huge difference between a mediocre game and one worth taking note of.

tbh never really cared that the fore awakens has the same plot structure as a new hope. the movie still fresh and people who say that this is a flaw just learned about it a few minutes ago. the last jedi was just weird.

AmbushFan, if you want suggestions, I'd say either Discordia or Theatre of Pain. I think Discordia would fit more if you want to play up the "adventure fantasy" aspects, because it makes me think of the general Final Fantasy-esque theme. Theatre of Pain would work more if you want it to be more of a horror story that makes people scared to go to sleep at night.

I'd say it's halfway between horror and typical fantasy. Fantasy in that it involves going on a finding a legendary relic, going on a quest to defeat the dark lord, etc., but horror because it has some really grim thematics - the very first piece of dialogue focuses on genocide, other controversial and grim topics will likely be referenced or shown too.

I think I'll stick with ToP right now, because I feel like working with that title will help put me in the mindset for getting things right. May change it back to Discordia before uploading. I'm not aiming for a horror story, but with the story I have in mind, grim thematics and dialogue would fit really well.

I'm starting to think something like Asphodel could work too. I don't like Discordia as a name, so changing the name of the world into something more fitting could kill two birds with one stone. I'll need to think of another name for the world first, though.

I'll name the NPC Hana, for now. It was the first name I came up with, and I shouldn't think too much about it. Jani could work too... again, think I'll stick with Hana for now.

Completed Tower of Frost... mostly. Haven't tested it yet, and I'm pretty sure there are a few errors at least. I rarely get things right on the first try, especially when it involves directions, which is used during the scene with Mika and Hana.

So, I'm about 50-60% complete with the prologue. Most of Frost's Domain is just a cutscene, with maybe a boss battle against Frost. I wonder if Chapter 1 should have a boss too? I'm considering making [Spoiler] a boss, but I'm not sure how well that would work.

Speaking of which, I was hoping I'd upload Prologue and Chapter 1 together, as V0.1. I'll need to start work on Seraph Inn at some point, then - I've already planned out most of Seraph.
