I take the gem and toss it into an active volcano where the gem melts

I then rewind time with the universal remote to before the gem was tossed in the volcano and then take the gem and destroy the remote. I then put the gem in a chest full of fake gems that explode on non-gem contact. Oh, and the explosive ones look just like the real one!
