You know the scary (fun) part? If TWEWY, Dark Souls and so many ports and updates is what they call a mini direct, I can't want to see what the real deal will show.

-Can stand on spikes

Low patience mode, probably.
Unless he needs to do a specific motion to stand/slide on spikes. Shovel Knight Specter of Torment taught me that can cause as much frustration as it can prevent.

If people bought it, the frames didn't stop them. Not saying that's ok with DS, but if it's stable, someone could double dip to try and get through an area during a bus ride or something.

Yeah, 30FPS isn’t that big of a game changer if it’s stable. I’m personally going to spring for the Switch version because Dark Souls on car trips sounds awesome

I don’t think you all understand how revolutionary Dark Souls is on the Switch. It’s the only console Dark Souls is on that has wrist straps! So now no more controller being flung across the room!

Man, I'm just sooo happy they brought back ability mixing in Kirby. I really hope it becomes a staple of the series after this.

Also I'm definitely going to have to buy that new Mario + Rabbids DLC. Isn't it funny how we can play as Donkey Kong in a Skylanders game and then switch over to play as Donkey Kong in a Rabbids game? Heh.

Mario Tennis looks pretty cool, I want to see more of that single player mode. I'm on the fence with the port of Hyrule Warriors, but I'll most likely end up getting the port of Tropical Freeze simply for the novelty of playing as Funky Kong in a platformer.

He's obviously the equivalent of the "New Mode" in the 3DS port of Donkey Kong Country Returns. Or mellow mode in Yoshi's Wooly World, or the White Tanooki suit in Super Mario 3D world, or Nabbit in New Super Luigi U. Basically he's an easy mode in the form of an alternate character.

Honestly, I was kinda disappointed hearing the announcements, until I found out it was a "Mini" Direct.

Well, hopefully the main Direct (whenever that is) gives me what I'm hoping for. But given Nintendo's long history of disappointing me, I doubt it.

Looks like the internet is once again setting unrealistically high expectations for this Direct. Guys, their blurb has "more info on Mario Tennis Aces," as the main grab. This is a low-key Direct at best. They're saving the big stuff for later. >.>

Well, they said the same about the last one and it still had a bunch of good announcements. But yeah, I'm thinking Smash is a stretch.

Yeah, that's what I think, Smash would be cool, but they would definantly save that for E3, just sharing my thoughts.

All 3 of those are better suited for an E3 reveal, especially KI2 and Fire Emblem since they'd be full on new games, while Smash has a chance of being a port 9Until Smash 5 a coupla years from now) and Pokemon is typically announced with it's own thing, unless it's a spin off like Pokken, or news of a already announced game.

-a good chunk of time for mario tennis aces
-at least 1 wii u port
-time for one more surprise (and then reggie would spin the wheel of bull**** between, mother 3, pokemon, smash, metroid prime 4, and something random but equally cool)

as for 3ds, i have no idea
id like to see an echoes style remake of genealogy of the holy war + thracia 776 or binding blade but i doubt we'd get that

Well, the Octopath release date was possibly leaked (17 August) so if it turns out to be true we might get more info on the game. I just wanna know about the other 6 characters. But yeah, any demo I can spend 10+ hours on and not get bored is immediately worth my time.

Won’t be here to watch it live though, so I’ll catch up later.
