Rollerball pens are vastly superior. The only downside is for left-handed people and plebs who can't write without smearing the ink.

Ballpoint. Bic pens are life. I'm constantly smudging rollerball ones when it's the only avaliable pen and ruining the advertised smooth writing.

It's like a ballpoint pen but the ink is either gel-based or water-based (as opposed to oil-based, as in normal ballpoint pens). It makes writing with one much smoother, but it also smears more easily if you fail.
