FINALLY watched the entirety of the Game Awards. The one time we didn't do a thread, it's the best one they've had. Even the awkward speech from the A Way Out guy was enjoyable compared to the usual E3 trite, and ads aside it was solid for all 3 hours.

I'm pretty sure I just set a world record. However, I can't find anything on it so far, so I'm not entirely sure. 120,000,000 points certainly puts the emphasis on "high" in "high score", though.

I shouldn't get my hopes up. But if I haven't, then I'll just try again, I guess. I didn't even intend to get a WR originally, but now that I've managed to get over 120,000,000, I feel like I could do it again. I'm prepared. Or maybe I'll just do it for fun next time, once again not intending for a WR.

I did the first time for fun, too. Why would I want to do something just for the sake of it? I play videogames to enjoy them - I'm a casual, not a hardcore gamer.

Ha. By now, the game's physics have become a kind of second nature to me, just well-timed button mashing. I reckon I would find 120,000,000 a much easier goal next time.

I think I'll try that. I won't be so serious this time, I only intend to make one song, mostly for a joke. I don't plan on treating it as a joke - even my "jokes" are relatively thought-out - or even a parody, I want to make it sound as realistic as possible. So maybe it will be kind of okay, not a total mess.

I'll take most lyrical inspiration from Blind Guardian and Lost Horizon, who make my favourite lyrics in the entire genre (and BG's style will suit this really well, LH is more of a preference), and this time, I intend to have as much control over lyrics as possible. Besides, I can't see myself on anything other than vocals, so I might as well focus on my "instrument".

As far as my vocal abilities ago, I really have no idea. Based on what I've heard of my own voice through recordings and such, I think I'd have a similar voice to someone like Hansi Kursch or Jorn Lande. However, I have never tried singing in front of anyone before, so I'm not entirely sure. Some people have overheard me singing before, and they said I was quite good, but that's about it. I'm passable, at least.

My main problem is that I absolutely hate singing choruses. They're bland and repetitive, just as they're intended to be, but that's no fun to sing in my opinion. So if I ever had a chance with the instrumentals, I'd try incorporating as much progression as possible.

Like Bohemian Rhapsody, which is my favourite song to sing. It's not my favourite Queen song, or even one of my favourite songs overall, but definitely my favourite to sing.

Now, onto the most important part. Trying to find other people who would be willing to participate in what started as a joke.

Hopefully it’s an N. Sane style remaster and not just a normal, upscale thing. It wasn’t very clear and wasn’t a trailer, lol.

I need to continue. Not just stay here now, waiting for a change, like I've done for so long. There isn't much I can do right now... aside from this. I need to make my mind up. Not saying I will then not doing it, not giving up, but just keep going. Do whatever I can.

Of course, it would be unlikely that anyone would care. Unless I can think of a good idea to change that. And if they did, might I once again lose motivation and give up?

Then there's the other thing. Best not to think on that too much.

Either way... I need ideas. Motivation. But what kind? Lack of these two things are holding me back the most. Ideas is slightly easier, but with motivation, there are too many things to discourage me. Like I'm walking a line, one side will make me give up, the other side will make me blaze through and accomplish.

I've played EOV now, and I learned a valuable lesson from playing that game. So, maybe... yes. I think this idea will help me very much. Thing is, can I pull it off? Once more, I need motivation. Confidence.

I must try, at least. Can I do that? Can I decide to not give up?

TBH I still haven't read the first one. I typically try to avoid "fanfics" like these, for no particular reason, I guess I just expect everyone online to have bad writing/story skills. Probably because, well, we're more known for ****posting about Shrek and attack helicopters and God knows what else than forming anything coherent. If there were any good writers online, I imagine they'd have moved to somewhere better than any of these "****post" websites I visit.

That said, I did have an idea for a Skylanders fanfic I was going to post here (in Fandom). However, I already consider myself a bad writer, so I reckon it would have been pretty bad also.

I liked it, though it's not my cup of tea, HIHD is the best person to play with other users in a respectful manner.

Replaying TLOS the Eternal Night on a Wii after years without my PS2 and copy. Boy what happened to that version, I haven't played enough to see if nostalgia held up but soooo many scripts that play perfectly on PS2 just barely work here.

Though, since I am once again interesting in starting a band (hopefully it doesn't end badly this time), maybe I should try making lyrics, or even singing to myself as a kind of practice? They don't require technology, much easier.

For all I know, I could be in college within a month. So I may not need to wait much longer. At the same time, I do not like the idea of relying on situations AT ALL. Things change, things go bad, just like that band.

But now, I'd say starting a band has returned to becoming my second priority. All I need are three or four people who can play instruments passably well and have decent teamwork skills.

I'm not hoping for anything much. Just this one song.

I really need to stop thinking about why I like what I like. Why do I like Blind Guardian? Because I do. I don't want to analyse their songs to find what they have in common, I want to just listen to them and enjoy them for what they are. And Timeless Miracle, another of my favourites.

Why do I like Kirby? Why do I like Skylanders? Because I do, same as Blind Guardian and Timeless Miracle. I shouldn't think too mych about it.

Just be happy. Enjoy what you enjoy. Don't worry if it seems ****ty in retrospect, if you like it, you like it. Don't ask yourself why, because then you'll overthink it and then maybe not like it anymore.

Sigh. I really need to tidy all this crap, then get my PS1/Xbox 360/Wii set up. Speaking of which, I think I've barely even played my PS1 in the many years I've had it, and IDK if my Wii still works.

Bottom line is, I've just moved house, and literary everything I own needs to be in one room. I'm not even sure if it's entirely possible to fit everything in here tidily, the only "storage area" I can access is this tiny area next to the main room, and I've almost used all that space up.

I've even seen my Gormiti and Gogo collections for the first time in many years. I even found Heled from Gogo's Crazy Bones S2, which reminded my of Project King. The very first idea I had. It was Heled who started it all, the first "hero" I ever created. I don't think Project King will ever be like I originally envisioned anymore, sadly. I've changed, and so have my ideas.

I played SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom for the first time in 5 years. I can see why it'd be considered a great game, not because nostalgia. It was a surprisingly good game for a TV show tie-in. Levels were well-designed and memorable, IMO. I didn't feel any nostalgia whilst playing it, it was just a good game.

Furthermore, I managed to finally complete several missions that I never completed as a kid. For example, I managed to complete all of Rock Bottom.

I also played a few other of my old games and, as I said, I think I set a WR on one of them. I have yet to verify it though. Maybe I'm just overestimating myself. But, as I also said, 120,000,000 is pretty high.

When I've finally sorted all this out, I think I'll build another tank out of lego. The current minifigure-sized tank doesn't even look very realistic. The micro-sized one, that's another thing entirely.

At least I built a tank out of lego, I guess. Two tanks. And two tanks are better than one, one tank is better than none.

Stratovarius is pretty much the only PM band where my favourite song is a ballad. Winter Skies is awesome, and easily one of my favourite ballads altogether. Better than all the ballads Sonata Arctica and Freedom Call have done, even, and they make my favourite ballads in the entire genre.
