Self-congratulatory comedy is the worst

The best comedians are some of the tragically depressed humans on the planet who mask their tragedies and sorrows with humour. People who aren't in that kind of position nor they derive their humour from their own fears are ever. If not, maybe you're still willing to take the piss out of yourself in which you set yourself up for some humourous karma. I'm not saying humour can't be at someone else's expense but it depends on the person. Certain sensitive topics can work as jokes if there at the expense of the perpetrator(s), not the victim(s). Uwe Boll's Postal film opens with a 9/11 joke but it's aimed toward the terrorists, when they try to debate on how many virgins they were getting.

People who only make jokes at victims and marginalized groups while talking about awesome they are doing it. Most Adam Sandler films portray him as a loveable loser but he comes off as an unlikeable git by insulting everyone he sees, sticks to his views consistently and gets everything he wants. The only tragedy I see in Adam is that he does look miserable in pandering to his Happy Madison fanbase.

I don't know, I just feel like getting it all out of my chest. It's no thinkpiece, just something I wanted to say for a while.

Personally I think puns are the worst, and yet I just can't help myself sometimes...
