That’s not true, just look at Komala, Turtonator, Drampa, Wishiwashi, Oricorio, Comfey, Oranguru, Passimian, Pyukumuku, Minior, Bruxish, Dhelmise...

It’s a shame really. Vikavolt has almost everything going for it, but it’s speed makes it a poor choice. I really like Vikavolt too...

What if dS doesn't shut down, but instead fades into complete obscurity?

Most topics delete themselves after a few years, right? So, several years after it fades, S&N will have... Five topics left, maybe? Some may come back on occasionally to make a new topic or post, but no more topics like "i found this, what should i do" or "New [insert movie] trailer", no more random ****posts within them either.

No. Instead, I can imagine them being more thought-provoking or emotional, like personal beliefs/accomplishments and talking about the history of dS. Because who'd come back just to ****post? It'll be a wasteland, after all, no reason to come back just for ****posting. S&N would no longer be what it once was, what we once... Well, I'm pretty sure we're mostly indifferent to it at this moment in time.

And would this new "deep" dS be better or worse than the one we have now? We seem to agree that what we have now is not that great, after all. Would an emotional wasteland be better? Or is constant activity all that matters?

Of course, we have Idle Chatter. Haven't checked that in a while - I remember it as being a bit between current S&N and my "post-apocalyptic" view, though much closer to modern S&N. I remember it as mostly having topics dedicated to certain franchises.

Now I've mentioned that, what would happen to other forums outside S&N? I think they'd be even more faded, one or two topics at most - S&N is one of the most popular, and I think Spyro/Skylanders/Whatever will be discontinued long before dS fades into obscurity. Leaving only Idle Chatter, Fandom, etc..

All topic types previously found in Idle Chatter and Video Games would probably be taken to S&N, leaving only Fandom. With the only users (who rarely visit) all grown-up, there would be no more childlike wonder/imagination to fuel fully-fledged ideas, leaving those forums/subforums even barer than the others.

Another thing you're probably wondering about - rule breakers. Mods will likely have left too, so who would follow the rules? I can see rules being broken, all right - but not in the way they're broken now. More casually, like we're just not acknowledging them, instead of going out of our way to break them.

Think about it - why do so many users talk about breaking them? Because they're against the rules, it's the "edgy" thing to do. Like how calling somebody "poo face" was an insult when you were 4 or 5, but now it's just frowned upon. Likewise, breaking rules would lose its effect.

I doubt this would happen, dark52 would probably notice something and shut it down. Probably someting to do with not enough ad income to pay for the servers or something, but I'm not sure entirely how that works.

Either way, I'm sure we'll all find new places eventually. It also depends on how things go on in the real world - nuclear warfare, space age, etc.. But that's an entirely different rabbit hole - I have a few theories on how this will end, and surprisingly, the most positive outcome doesn't involve staying on Earth.

I had another idea for something to make on Fes a while back. It was a very simple story-based idea, so maybe I could make that? I'm so bored right now, and once more, I really want to make something...

Advertising websites became a big problem when certain users started to use them for harassment and leading grudges offsite(or bringing them here). And of course they're the ones that left as soon as Skylanders' popularity dwindled, probably to find new people to be assholes to.

I'll admit, one of the villains of Project King - Mephisto/Mordred, will probably merge because they're so similar - was partially based on what I'd consider an average dS user (when serious, since Mephisto is far from jocular).

Of course, dS didn't serve as the sole inspiration. I don't think any single thing, person, or trait could of made him so unlikeable.

If I listened to Kamelot instead of Sonata Arctita, I'd probably be praising them instead. It wasn't the music - it was more because of what I associated the music with.

Although, if I listened to Freedom Call or Power Quest instead, I'd likely be in a very different position right now. So the band did matter, just not the exact band, only as long as they had that feel to them.

Ironic. SA - and Kamelot, though I did not own any of their albums at the time - were one of the bands I was warned against, and FC/PQ were the ones I was told to listen to. What's even more ridiculous is that I even tried turning to metal for help, but then again, I didn't see any other option at the time. I already liked PM, and I didn't want to tell anyone about my thoughts.

"Astral Domination" (a vocaloid song, apparently) sounds like the title of a Dragonforce song - then again, they already have songs called Galactic Astro Domination and Astral Empire, and they're pretty much the same thing.

I've always imagined Dragonforce (esp. modern) as being the closest thing to that sort of music, that isn't actually from Japan. Though, as I've already stated, I've never listened to a vocaloid song, or any other Japanese artist besides Galneryus. I've listened to a few Galneryus songs, but that's as far as I've gone with Japanese music.

Dragonforce have made some of my favourite PM songs - again, esp. modern. Like most people, they intoduced me to PM, so they've set my standards. Some of my favourite songs include:

I think each country I've heard from have a slightly different "version" of PM. For example, bands I've heard from Finland tend to sound quite different than those in the UK or Sweden. US PM is even considereded a completely different genre, and some people also consider Japanese PM to be another separate subgenre of PM.

Vocaloid is a sound synthesizer program. Anyone who buys the program, plugs in the lyrics & music can make the Vocaloid sing whatever they want then upload it to youtube. Doesn't make it an official cover or anything, but it's completely possible.

You know what, I never noticed this before. Why does Bayonetta's Varia Suit costume have a flipping visor while the real one has weird opacity settings? The former is more useful since you kinda need your peripheral vision if you're going through the trouble of showing your face.
