Oh don't worry, dA only does anything when they feel like it, though they're quick to child porn. That said, hate art is a-ok because the few staff still there are pretty goddamn lazy.

Wish I was kidding. They deleted a NSFW picture of Coraline for obvious reasons, but people were reporting a Nazi group even before that and nothing was done about it. The result? Ban the big name person pointing out the double standard, and remove the feature that put their post in the spotlight in the first place.

I can see why Power Quest and Freedom Call are considered the happiest power metal bands, but Lost Horizon and Dragonforce are my go-to uplifting bands. Sabaton also have quite a few, especially their Metal trilogy (Metal Machine, Metal Crue, Metal Ripper), and I think Crue is the one of the most uplifting songs altogether. if not the most.

Blind Guardian is like a power metal version of Queen. Lost Horizon is also quite similar, but Blind Guardian have a certain quality to them that make me think of a modern Queen.

Miracle Machine sounds exactly like a Queen song, except sung by Hansi Kursch - at one point (beginning of the chorus IIRC), he even sounds exactly like Freddy Mercury. I'm not even exaggerating, it does sound exactly like a Queen song - certainly the most Queen-esque song (that isn't actually by Queen) that I've heard.

I'm not quite sure which works best. Fire seems like it should beat Air, but Earth > Water doesn't feel right. I think Fire > Air and Earth > Water may be the best solution, even though it doesn't feel perfect. Then again, if I was going for complete accuracy, I'd need to add in all sorts of other strengths/weaknesses between the four - and that would make things even more complicated than they already are.

And I have four more elements that I need to sort out, too. But they're a lot different for Fire/Water/Air/Earth, so I won't include them in the same circle.

I certainly need to figure them out at some point, though - the elements play an important role in Project King.

When I was younger we rented a car with the license plate ACE. I cried when we had to leave it.

The new Helloween song sounds good. I don't think I give them as much respect as they deserve - maybe not as good as Timeless Miracle or Blind Guardian, but definitely as good as Stratovarius. Then again, Helloween and Stratovarius are commonly referred to as starting off the entire genre, from what I've seen.

Most modern power metal bands are very different to them, though. It's now dominated by Sabaton clones, which is quite boring.

I really want to return to work on The End, but I really can't think of any ideas and I'm worried I'll mess it up.

I doubt many people are even going to play it anyway, so I shouldn't worry myself too much. Most Fes games are far from masterpieces anyway - Downfall got loads of attention, even though the game was just a boss rush with terrible puzzles, forced references, and no interesting skills.

But even if nobody does play it, I still want to make it as good as possible. It may also be useful when trying to find people to help me on Project King, other than just looking like a wannabe videogame designer - I would actually have a full game completed, albeit a short one.

Just doing it for experience should be my main goal. Some of my earlier projects were total failures, and I want to make sure I don't make those same mistakes again.

Blood & Thunder was surprisingly well received, though. I was considering making that into my main Fes project, but now it's part of Project King, I'd rather keep that idea. Especially when it may be one of the first parts I release.

It looks like I may be able to contact a programmer soon, so then I would only need an artist for the bare minimum I want before I starting Project King. I think I could be able to do the music, but I'm terrible at art, and unless the programmer is relatively good, then we'd need to rely on my terrible pixel art.

If Project King does happen, then it'll likely be my first time making something (relatively) big - and likely everyone else on the team. I'm not expecting much, I'd just be happy to actually of got something done.

Project King may never happen anyway, and honestly, I really doubt it will. Certainly with all the parts included, that seems impossible. Right now, it's more of a cool idea I have, one that I would like to someday make a reality.

I wonder if Harry Potter ever considered going as the Invisible Man for Halloween.
