Does anyone know a forum or two that isn't depressingly empty and actually has games to talk about? e_e' Every day with like one entire post in the Skylanders section and a handful on Off-topic is starting to make me feel real lonely except for the usual friendly users here.

I mean, there's always NeoGaf and specific gaming related subreddits, but those places are kinda circle jerks and waaaaay more toxic than a small forum like this.

Yeah, not thinking of reddit or super big forums. I'm not leaving, I'm just feeling extremely lonely of hanging out in 2-3 places where it's either almost empty(like here and another game) or I get ignored all the time (someplace I occasionaly chat in). With work and **** socializing more IRL can't happen just yet.

Yeah, I feel ya. Unfortunately, finding that middle ground is practically impossible now. You're either a super dead forum or too big for your britches. That's a sad reality of Internet communication.

Might as well appreciate the chatting that does happen here, though, I guess. Wish there was anyway to help :c

Just came back from a restaurant. While I was coming back, I noticed that a bunch of 12/13 year olds were hanging out in our estate. Ok, whatever. They started saying hi to me, but I ignored them, since they had a reputation and I knew that they were only saying hi ironically. Then they started calling me these really bad names. Not ones I find offensive, but ones where the insults were so terrible I could barely keep a straight face. I managed to ignore them. But the lesson we learned today...
Gay head.

Truly the most savage of insults.

I really how they write Jerry now, though. They really subscribe to the "Status Quo is God" philosophy with him. It's honestly getting old. Why can't he just change for the better.

I really want Disney to make a new Mickey Mouse movie that isn't based on some prior story like the three musketeers, isn't putting them in a specific situation like House of Mouse, or just some short scenario like Steamboat Willie was. All of those are great, but I really want a Mickey Mouse movie that takes place in a regular world kind of like A Goofy Movie or Once Upon a Christmas and is literally just a nice, relaxed movie about Mickey and his friends.

I want Jerry to grow up. I know it's what everyone wants and is said in the series, but at this point it doesn't seem realistic anymore. Everyone else in the series has grown, everyone has learned from their mistakes and are changing themselves. Everyone but Jerry. I hope that we get SOMETHING from him before this season ends. He has done the same "stand up for myself at the last second" many times only to revert back to his old ways. I want to see him get angry, stand up for himself, and just try to stop taking so much ****. It's my opinion, but Jerry isn't the one that messed up everything. He isn't the only one at fault for getting Beth pregnant,
it takes two to make a baby. It just seems like everyone else blames him and he doesn't try to deny it or anything. I don't think he, as a teen, knew what he was doing nor wanted to get Beth pregnant. Though people like Rick and Beth blame him. And that's where I can see why the creators are sticking to that status quo, because it's funny to see Rick torment Jerry. The fanbase loves Rick and follows everything he says and sees most things from his POV, but Rick isn't a good person nor someone people should look up to, like Morty said at the trial to Summer. Him blaming Jerry for his daughter's pregnancy is an example of his bias and his attachment to Beth. In The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy, we see Jerry try to stand up for himself only for Rick to beat him down and use various observations in order to convince the fans into believing what he says, not thinking there's anything more to Jerry's character then what Rick explains. Unfortunately, with how it's been going, i'm not sure there is much more to Jerry's character anymore.


Sorry, it's just me looking to deep into things. Anyway, it wasn't my favorite episode, but it wasn't bad.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. Word of advice to any high schooler/middle schooler on this forum

If you get a ****ty grade on a test, be the first to tell your parents. You'll be waaaaaaaay better off in the long run if you're honest with them. This goes for pretty much any ****up you may make...

'cept for, like, murder n ****.

Thankfully, I don't get that(my parents were more 'god it's just a 6 just ask the teacher for help and stop beating yourself over it'), but I heard it from SO many of my classmates. No wonder people slack off at school and do the bare minimum until it's time for the college/uni tests.
