About the season itself, it was really meh up until 9, after that all those episodes are amazing. But the entire Kaos sideplot made the entire thing less fun, aside from the non existence of the cadets, but it's slightly made up for with AMAZING fight scenes.

God dammit I finished it. There really is no Season 4 coming save a miracle. This is cliche and kind of childish, but... Skylanders forever.

Just finished the first episode, have to admit I didn’t notice that much difference between the previous Seasons and this one: if anything I appreciated how it went straight to the point and started directly from where the last one ended.

It’s a bit discouraging to see all these negative or disappointed reactions, but perhaps I also feel expecially posistive because this is the first new Skylanders-related content in the entire year I get myself into; no new games nor expansions this time.

I thought Activision already said they wanted a new writer or author for the next one, think I read it somewhere on Twitter.

The new showrunners are already for Season 3, the change was made long ago. However, we never saw news of a renewal, and TeamTO has stopped production months ago on the series. It's not that they said it's done, but they keep going 'hopefully we'll see X in the future' on twitter and we know there's nothing about the future as far as Acti is concerned until it makes it to the news.

Why don't you get one? It'll fill the mind enough to not complain and bicker over nothing as much.

Also, I really hope this season has at least some OST samples floating around somewhere. Some characters got sick leitmotifs, a VERY welcome change from the nothing music in the first two seasons.

the best and cool awesomes skylanders academy is episode 11-13.

I'm only on episode 4 of this season, but I for some reason can't stick around through a whole episode now. It's just, strange to me now. It's literally hard for me to stay interested in the episodes now. I don't know if it's just gotten boring, or if the writing is so different it feels weird.

Worth watching because of the action and soundtrack, but it's inferior to Season 2 when it comes to pace and characters.

This is dumb but

Season 3 has been trending on Netflix for three days now
+ This is the only season not to make it on the popular category

All I can say is Season 3 is in the popular category on Netflix Germany.

I like the show, but there are things that bug me ...

Portals are used all the time, it's just offscreen. You see them in every major island corner(no explaining the Thinking Spot), it's how characters that can't fly seemingly end up in the area despite having no vehicles.

I always thought it was some massive plot hole!

So, I just finished the third Season and will definitely elaborate on what I think about it in the spoiler-free topic later on, but I do want to say something here as well.

I liked this season, but I would not be as happy with it if it truly turned out to be the last one.


As of now it’s probably my least favorite overall still I just cannot ignore its awesome moments.
Strongly hoping this won’t be our farewell to Academy and I’ll be sure to keep checking the various social media, but whatever happens...

No such news ever came out, the showrunners just said that some subjects would be adressed on a possible season 4.

Soooo... an interesting development just popped up. A former leader of the Animation Guild posted a new “Work Around Town” post detailing the animation projects currently in development at every studio currently working. Skylanders Academy is listed as “ongoing” which is... bizarre to say the least. Maybe there is a sneaky 4th Season planned. This is news to me!

I hope there's another season. The other three have been nice entertainment so far.

I'm ultimately curious about the fate of Skylanders as a franchise, however. Now that we've got RT, will there be more Skylanders in the immediate future? We at least have ROH for now. At the end othe the day, though, I'm just glad franchises associated with Spyro are getting some attention.

I searched every site on Google and they keep on saying that they are still deciding for the show to continue or not. In other words I am not giving up on Skylanders Academy that easily

What a ****ing disappointment.

I noticed how the first two seasons had so much hype around them and the trailers got decent amount of views...The thing with kids animations is that there shouldn’t be a one year gap people will just forget about the animation especially with no promotion and not many episodes such a shame TBH I really like Skylanders Academy

Well there's another nail in the coffin of the franchise. As soon as Ring of Heroes is gone then that's it. Sad news. Leave it to Activision to take such a expansive world and characters and burn it down at such a pace. So much untapped potential. These companies really don't know what they're doing anymore and it's a shame.

The 10 year anniversary is in 2 years , but I doubt that we’ll get a Skylanders 7
I don’t know why but I feel like they want to rebrand the franchise after a couple of years....I don’t think that we’ll see the last of it yet....we’ll probably get something new once they take a break from Spyro and crash.

With how much care I glimpsed despite my own bias on it, why are they not even attempting to integrate lore aspects and characters inside the main Spyro titles? I would love to see Kaos in a Spyro game.

I've finished season 1 and I'm part way through season 2. It's a good show, very entertaining. It's a shame season 4 never got made.

ngl, i don't remember much from academy (it's been a while since i watched it), but i did appreciate that they explored dark spyro in a way that was different from tlos

It was overall mediocre and it was excesively focused on young kids. It did pretty well intertwining all the different elements and components of the games and the lore tho, better than the games did actually.

I still like Season 2 a ton +Anger Mismanagement in 1 is still really funny in its shamelessness, but god was it in spite of Acti and Netflix both

gotta rewatch it at some point, i remember the ending was pretty... bleh
