Yeah but some are really pretty and others are butt ugly; you have to choose a pattern that's appealing if you want to repeat it. Goofy hand with claws and a constipated face is not appealing; had I designed that I'd give it single/multiple odd looking eyes rather than comical and more focus on the diamond pattern some barnacles have.
