~Pokemon of the Day~
/Rule 1/ With each PotD, the Generation and one of the Types of the next PotD will be listed and participators post their prediction for what it will be. Having a correct guess scores you one point.
/Rule 2/ You can change your guess at any time before the next PotD is posted. It will be posted at any time from 12:00 AM to 11:59 AM EST/EDT.
/Rule 3/ You can only have one guess per PotD, and there must be 1 guess minimum on a PotD prior to the next one being posted.
/Rule 4/ A Pokemon will not have different PotDs for different forms of it. The typing given as a clue for the next PotD, if it has multiple forms, is a type of its base form, and not of any other forms. Some Pokemon have different types with different forms, so here I will list the base forms of each Pokemon that applies, since otherwise one might accidentally see a type and think it may be a different form of a Pokemon: Normal Castform, Plant Cloak Burmy/Wormadam, no-appliance Rotom, Land Form Shaymin, no-plate Arceus, standard Darmanitan (for both Unovan and Galarian), Aria Form Meloetta, no-drive Genesect, Confined Hoopa, Baile Style Oricorio, no-memory Silvally, pure Psychic Necrozma, Crowned Sword Zacian, and Crowned Shield Zamazenta.
/Rule 5/ There will not be multiple PotDs for Pokemon with gender differences. However, Nidoran is an exception, as its two genders are two different Pokedex entries.
/Rule 6/ Megas, Gigantamaxes, and regional variants will be the only alternate forms to have their own PotDs. Each will belong to the Generation they were introduced in, rather than the Generation of their base Pokemon. Meltan and Melmetal are included as Generation 7 Pokemon, and Generation 8 Pokemon will not be included in this game until a later date.
/Rule 7/ Since Pokemon are occasionally retyped, a Pokemon will always be counted as its modern typing (i.e. Granbull being counted as a Fairy Type, rather than a Normal Type).
/Rule 8/ After this game has concluded and each Pokemon has been a Pokemon of the Day, the top 5 players with the highest amount of points will win. The five places will be Gold Medal, Silver Medal, Bronze Medal, Copper Medal, and Dirt Medal. If there is a tie between any given medal placing, there will be a tiebreaker. The loser will be pushed down one place, pushing down everyone below them as well.
