With the comics cancellation... Yeah. People are really bummed, especially after some people brought up several works that were cut and will never see the light of day.

Christ, Sega never left 2006-10 era did they? Either that or they REALLY know their audience. Infinite is the personification of Sonic Edgy more than Shadow is.


His theme is kinda cool, though, tbh. Lyrics are edgy, though.

You know, one of my favorite things about the franchise is its ironic humor. That's why I love this guy.

Also, since Bifrost brought Persona up, I'm the only one who thinks Forces' hud is really similar to Persona 5's? Look:

Seems like this time they're playing it on purpose, while Shadow was an oversaturation of cool tropes. Just read the lyrics to his theme, it's 100% "this guy is better than sonic, teleports, and has all these cool powers and a mysterious past".

HUD is similar but Persona goes for a more comic book style, with lots of tilted angles. The stuff I'm talking about specifically, though... Spoilers.

If anything, it increases the notion Infinite is the evil equivalent to your OC avatar. And it may be poking fun at people's tendency to make their fan characters on par with/better than Sonic, Shadow, etc. <.<;

Yeah, that just seems too meta to me, though. I don't think Warren Graff could pull something like that off. I'm expecting a pretty bare-bones "Save the world," scenario. But I'm hoping to be wrong in that regard.

Liam O' Brien is the topping on the edge cake. Since Shadow already covers the raspy, gotta have someone with the dramatic sultry voice.

Every single trailer and music track that gets released for this game just gets me more and more excited for Forces. Holiday season can't come sooner.

Some good Mania news from Comic Con. I'll put into spoilers because there's some information about the plot and cutscenes.

@Drawdler: To be fair, those got a lot better to control in Taxman's 2011 re-release. And I don't think they'll make the backgrounds as seizure-inducing.

So, I've been wanting to try and play more Sonic games as of late, and I was just wondering if anybody had recommendations for what games to play. I've gone through Generations the entire way, and have seen some Unleashed and Lost World. I'm planning on playing Forces on Switch, and maybe Mania too.

Note: I own a PS3, Wii U, Switch, Xbox One, and PC, for those wanting to recommend particular versions.

Maybe the first games? Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD. They are generally considered the best of the franchise. 1, 2 and CD have improved versions for mobile (and PC/Consoles in case of CD).

I had to a double-take when I heard this b/c it reminded me of Funk Fiction's tracks in the Before/After the Sequel fangames and Spark the Electric Jester. That was probably intentional. <.<;

1,2, 3& Knuckles, and CD are all available on PC, and CD in particular got updated specifically for PC and consoles. CD is also available on PS3.

Both Adventure games are available on Steam, don't know if Adventure 2 has a physical release on PC though. Though the first Adventure is much better imo and one of my personal favorite Sonic games.

If you have a Wii U and are able to play Wii games, get Sonic Colors, especially if you enjoyed Generations. One of the best in the series and one of the best games on the Wii console.

Unleashed is great when it comes to the daytime stages. The Werehog stages though will either make or break the game for you since they're so controversial.

Lost World is worth looking into if you don't mind all the experimentation that game did.
