You wouldn't believe what I saw at a garage sale today. A Skylanders motherload!



A sign that I wanted, but I really didn't have any space for.
















I already have a pretty large collection myself so I got these 39 items below for $95.00. I haggled a deal to get that price as they wanted $5 a large figure and $3 small which seemed overpriced to me as you can get buckets of them cheap on eBay but then I realized that it averaged out to just below $2.50 an item which ain't bad considering many were Imaginators or variants. The blue Bash is a rare one if I remember correctly!

A lot of the trap crystals I'm pretty sure I own but I can always use more as I really wanted to have one trap per villain. It doesn't really matter if I have many doubles of the crystals and there is no reason to collect them all as I'd never get those yawn traps.

Anyway, I think I'm now in the 90% range for owning all the possible Skylanders (not counting overpriced variants). I really need to make a list as it's getting so hard to remember what I've picked up at these blowout sales. Some which I need are so stupid like a S2 Slam Bam which I keep neglecting to pick one up.

Lost Imaginite Mines came in today! Ro-Bow's figure, while quite undetailed for the most part, is very unblemished. Ro-Bow probably has my favorite design of Imaginators.

Tech crystal came today. Got the one with the orb gem, in the Krankcase duo pack. Didnt know it had been released in a single. But now i can finally 100% the game.

It was part of wave 3 I think. A couple of those single packs aren't listed on the packs page.

Give ya $20 for it. LOL Just kidding! Still that's a nice find. It always pays to check their stock as they keep sending the stores more and more figs to blow out cheaply. Who knows what variants could pop up. I'm guessing Tuff Luck is due for the next batch as I've not seen her at my store in ages.

The buy one get 4 sale is great but sadly I'm almost at 100% on my collection, at least 80% of them I got pre-owned or at mad fire sales like this. Aside from Imaginators, I'm running out of older figures to collect. LOL

Took this photo on my phone in weird lighting so it's not the best quality. But yes, I've looked forward to Thumpin' Wumpa Island and I'm not disappointed! I'll be doing a review on my YT channel soonish, but I can safely say now that it's far better than my first and last Adventure Pack experience: Pirate Seas AKA £25 for three games of Pairs.

I got LIM. Sad and happy because it's great to finally have a new character but it'll probably be my last with the current state the franchise is in.

I'm really tempted to get Clear Whirlwind from the same seller, but I don't have that kind of money to spend on Skylanders, ragh. Also not so into Whirlwind and don't think the clear color suits her (you can argue she's meant to be like clear wind, but eh, that's kinda boring). Just the red color makes Camo look so much deeper than Clear figures and is kinda watermelon/fruit punch-ish. And Camo is just cooler, okay.

She was always a character I was interested in since the beginning, but ever since I got my corrupted save file, I've been refusing to play, but maybe this will get me back in the game.

Package came in today from Drawdler with this Dark Crystal. First Dark Crystal for me, just can't be found in my area for whatever reason!

Remember that pre-Fourth of July Gamestop glitch sale? I got all these though the mail for just a little under $45. Sweet!

Now I need only LIM, a few variants and Chompy Mage to finish up on Imaginators.

Someday I'll take inventory of my collection, but I think I need 20 to 30 more Skylanders to complete my collection. Not counting insanely priced variants and different crystal molds.

I sure wish I'd checked the website and gotten in on the glitch sale. Even where they're "only" 10 bucks now at gamestop, I am about going to have to wait until Black Friday sales and hope there are some steals. Still, with no new game to push the old merch off the shelves, I fear this holiday season won't see the stores slash prices near as much as previous years, and they'll just try to get what they can out of them. Sigh.

Still, Craigslisting has been pretty kind to me. Since I only started in on Trap Team a couple months ago (and that due to a screamin' Craigslist deal), there's a lot I didn't and still don't have. Just today I picked up a load of stuff for both Trap Team and Imaginators (which I haven't given the kids yet).

Of the stuff I didn't already have, I got:
Sunscraper Spire AND Midnight Museum (sadly, they didn't come with corresponding traps), Nightmare Express and Blades (funny, because just two days ago I found and bought that pack at 5 Below - dunno if it's worth returning at this point. Was a bit out of the way), Gryphon Park Observatory, Enchanted Elven Forest, Crash Bandicoot, High Five, Cobra Cadabra, Tread Head, Terrabite, Hog Wild Fryno, Full Blast Jet-Vac, Air Sword Trap, Tech Flying Helmet Trap, Night Shift (only had Legendary before), Countdown (only had Lightcore before), S1 Whamshell, which I'm told is relatively rare (only had S2 Lightcore before), S1 Camo (only had S2 before)

I was most psyched about the light and dark levels, since the cheapest I've seen the pair of them on ebay is $56. I'm still on the hunt for a light and dark trap, I don't care which, really. I think those four will really keep their value better than most, since they are so rare (besides chase variants and yawn traps, of course), so I was happy to get the levels. I was also really happy to get the two physical figure Imaginators levels as well, since I'm not really high on Boom Bloom or Air Strike anyway. I actually aged out of video games about when Crash got popular (before my kids aged me back in, that is to say), so I don't even know anything about him or Neo Cortex. So I'm more than happy getting one of the two for the level. I'm figuring I'll give Imaginators to the kids for Christmas, but it's fun for me finding deals for the characters and levels now.

Which one do you need? Chompy Mage right?

Magic Crystal came in today. I'm so close to the end. Just need to wait for my Chompy Mage to arrive, order the Dark Crystal, get the Dark Starter, and my Skylanders journey is officially over.

Aaaaand I'm done. After nearly 4 years (or 5 if you consider what I got before the game itself), I finally finished my Spyro's Adventure collection. And finished it nicely:



I still don't have the Legendaries or Volcanic Vault, but I consider those as extra stuff, so I'm gonna consider my collection as complete.

Now I can focus my money on other stuff I want until I can get Giants and beyond. For now I'm gonna enjoy those two guys.

Saw this at a garage sale today. The woman running the sale said I could have it all for $15.00. LOL I couldn't refuse the bargain although I only need about 30 Skylanders now and I have most of the common ones to get. Turns out this was a rather large collection of Swap Force. Possible complete or near complete. Also some Giants and Trap Team. I'm guessing at least 50 figures in total.

For my collection I took a Halloween Eye Brawl and Enchanted Hoot Loop. There were several others variants like turbo this and legendary that but I cannot recall which ones of those I really need. Oh and the two cases, I couls use like a dozen cases for my collection!

Interesting is that two of the traps were those faded out ones which I've seen others talk about here. A water and a wind one. I'm guessing they were out in the sun for a while? I'm thinking of keeping them as variants. LOL

I'm a little suspicious as to why she offered it to me for $15. I think it was for sale yesterday and someone picked though it. There was no Trap Portal and no Trap Team game. Also missing was the light crystal but I did find the Light Spire and Knight Light. So whatever. I'll end up flipping them on ebay and perhaps make $100 on them?

Shockingly, this is the third Light Spire I found in the wild in just a week of garage sales. Two last weekend, one today. I'm guessing it was the easier of the two sets to get?

If I have time, I'll take another image of the entire collection spread out.

I personally was lucky enough to have someone gift me by purchasing an Employee Edition Prism Break for me. This package in particular was damaged in that the glue between the plastic bubble and the cardboard had disintegrated, and so they are apart, but when I get them I will put it back together. I've had to do this with several characters, including my E3 Chrome Spyro and Pumpkin Eye-Brawl (not to mention the countless glue-gun surgeries I've done on my loose characters).

The Employee Edition Prism Break, for those who don't know, was a figure given out in Christmas of 2012 to all Activision employees. It is a remake of LightCore S2 Prism Break's figure that is golden with white flocking on his head and shoulders that is made to look like snow dribbling down on him, and the packaging has a circular design on it saying Holidays of 2012 or something of that sort. It is a very neat figure to have indeed, and I was incredibly lucky to find it for $90 instead of the $250+ I tend to see it for.

Finally got a magic claw crystal for $14 and now have all 29.

Ordered Double Trouble 1.5 off of Amazon. Used but still in very good condition, according to the seller. Will arrive within the next two weeks.

FINALLY

I got a bloody Wham-Shell at the new game store that opened up on the edge of town! My Spyro's Adventure collection is complete!

I did say I have sold several skylanders, but again, held onto the Spyro's Adventure ones. Also I don't know if it's worth it to go for another collection for bottom paths. (First path is my default)
