I hope if Transformers gets a reboot on the silver screen, made by people who genuinely care about Transformers and no Michael Bay or any similar douchebag involved, it should be called The Transformers and should be easy to follow for 90 minutes or 2 hours at max. There can still be human characters but in a way similar to the modern Planet of the Apes films. Instead of a Spike Witwicky (because the name is polluted by Shia LeBeouf) or a discount Mark Wahlberg, Misha Miramond (played a talented actress who isn't eye candy like all of Bay's choices) to be contemplative about the universe, her place in it and the idea that the Transformers are in fact gods (even asking Optimus if he's a god).

Humour should only there when it's needed (like Bumblebee as a Volkswagen Beetle accidently destroying a Chavolret Camaro), the action is shot and edited well and a simple plot of Decepticons want to drains the Earth's lifeforce for energon and Optimus says no. Side note: the Optimus and Megatron fight won't have the "One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall" line because it's overused. Instead, it'll be like from the early episodes of the cartoon.

Optimus: "You destroy everything you touch, Megatron!"
Megatron: "Because everything I touch is food for my hunger! My hunger for power!"

I don't see anything like this anytime soon, thanks to Paramount will trip over itself with it's TF cinematic universe and desperation to have Michael Bay helm them all despite his recent falling out with the U.S. military (His next film Little America will piss off a lot of Americans). Maybe by the 2030's if not the late 2020's after all these future plans trip over themselves.
