Jokes aside, in the game the pokémon only seek you out in random battles if they specifically want to punch things, otherwise they wouldn't be fighting a trainer, they'd be seeking a breeder, athlete etc. Though I guess a good chunk of them are sapient, they just don't have a good way of communication, so they'll change life goals like everyone else.

Well, at least DPPt ran with the idea that pokémon are mostly sapient. Sun and Moon went back with how Ultra Beasts really don't seem to have a pattern past basic instincts, with the exception of Solgaleo and Lunala.

Ash/Dawn's Ambipom was female, actually. On top of that, Dawn/Ash's Buizel was male.

I feel like this isn't the first or last time I say this towards Pokémon. It's just not a series I enjoy replaying/rewatching.

Why not? You should rewatch the whole series! There are about 974 episodes right now (although when I first googled it, it said 274. Thanks internet). Each episode is about 22 minutes long. 974x22/60/24= just over 2 weeks if you don't eat, sleep, pee, or watch the movies.

Just watch the ones with May and Dawn. As a young boy, they easily caught my attention.

And skip the filler.

I can't even tell myself to watch Digimon Tamers without forgetting about it in the next 10 minutes, I'm not a good person with binging shows. TTGL was the only one I could consistently sit and watch for a whole week and I almost took the dreaded break where I never picked back up(which I did to Madoka and a few cartoons).

Aaaaand I'm pretty sure my favourite Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Remixer deleted his channel and all his content on it. Great.

In other news, the Sam Raimi Spider Man films are kinda dumb. Fun, but really really dumb.
