Fantastic models - especially in the PS1 style. I've always wondered, how are the eyes done, considering they're like 2d floating planes that aren't attached to anything? Are they part of the model or layered on afterwards (if that makes sense. I know nothing about modelling so I'm just curious)?

And on the eye bit... this is something I'm still figuring out the best way to do. With the very first model I had made (
moneybags), I wasn't fully aware of what style I was going for in general (high poly/low poly etc.), and didn't realize till after the fact that when I was going to go for the older style, that yes, they are indeed floating single sided planes in front of the models face. And I'm just now realizing I'm probably still doing them a bit wrong lol.
Looking at the
Elora post on the Spring Savanna wordpress, it looks like this is the best approach to doing the eyes:

So I'll likely be redoing my models eyes, and probably the rigs for them as well.
