Amazing gameplay (Tiny's battle is... perfect), my only nitpick would be the water in Coco's level: looks just like the one in the other levels, and doesn't really have an oceanic feeling.
Might be the graphic engine or it could be simply unfinished, but as of now it just looks too calm and boring compared to how fantastic it looked in the PS1 version.

It almost as if it showed the full capabilities of that system and I would really like if it could do the same today.

Would be nice if people would spoiler mentions of secret unlockables, but I'm not gonna get too annoyed since it's not like the games as a whole are a brand new experience.

It's a really cool unlockable though.

To be honest, I'll be really annoyed if they just do this and then Crash dies again. I hope that this isn't the only thing that's gonna happen with him.

Also imagine if after you beat all the games, there's a secret final boss: Dr. N.Sane himself. That would be awesome.

Just in case you didn't hear about it, Sony suggested to tune-in right at the start of its conference for the Crash announcement.

Looks like they might not be saving the best for the end (or are they...?)!

I hope after this they do more remakes of classic games. I'm thinking Wrath Of Cortex, Crash Team Racing, Crash Bash and/or Twinsanity, even though most of those are probably unlikely. Either that or they actually go and make new Crash games, which would be pretty cool also.

I'd be mixed if they remade Twinsanity. In one way, I'd love to play it with new graphics and see what it at it's full potential. However, at the same time, I feel like too much would change for my liking. The reason I adore Twinsanity is because of it's art style and the crazy music. I feel like if they remade it, that would change, and that's a major part of why I loved the game.

But I feel like CTR is very likely to be remade at this point, as this game is a guaranteed success. Wrath Of Cortex would be logical series-wise, but the game didn't do well if I remember correctly, so they might not.

Well, that's what I have to say right now. Tune in later for my next in depth thought.

Well, Twinsanity is much more recent than the first three games, so it probably wouldn't change so drastically: just look at Shadow of the Colossus' remake, they basically just tweaked the graphics.
Plus it would be a great chance to bring back all the cut content.

Most of it we've seen already...but I think Snap Shot went to get breakfast 22 minutes in.

I consider this game to be the unofficial/official Skylanders 7. Similar play styles, same developers and graphics, and the fact that Crash and Cortex were just in Imaginators makes me feel like this game and the Skylander franchise are closely related. It's just the way I like to imagine it.

I'm not suggesting it was ended for N.Sane to be connected to Skylanders. I'm just saying that I like to imagine it that way because of the similarities I noticed, even though they are somewhat minor.

I consider Skylanders and Crash as totally different games, gameplay wise. Crash's a platformer, and Skylanders is a dungeon crawler. Yeah, Skylanders can jump, but it's something so trivial to the overall mechanics...

I kinda wish this game was on the Switch because I could get this AND Odyssey. But I'm fine just getting this if it's exclusive.

They know, and I'm pretty convinced they knew about for quite some time.
Not to mention that, as much as I hate to simply consider the hypothesis, Skylanders could very well be near its end.

But one end it's just a new beginning, right?

I'm pretty sure Activision just needs the sale numbers of Crash to give the definitive greenlight for Spyro.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they've at least made a prototype for Spyro and are waiting on sales figures for Crash to consider starting full scale development on something for Spyro.

Same, for a number of reasons.

I really hope this will serve as a way to make publishers and developers understand old games are classics for a reason: yeah, some might not have aged as well as others, but they excelled in so many ways that they left a piece of them in the heart of everyone who played them.

So instead of looking for newness and originality at all costs, they should firstly focus on making games actually fun, challenging, enjoyable and lovable.
No need to 100% stick to the originals but they should at least look at them very carefully.

So you basically a bit more of Nintendo in the industry?
Guess it would be fine, even though I also give value to uniqueness.

You know what?
Pretty much.

Not to the point of making it and the other companies' lose their identity, because clearly there are lots pf customers who like what they are doing right now, but I feel like Nintendo nailed the meaning of "videogame" in the last years.

That's just an honest opinion, can't really complain too much about modern gaming, after all.
