Today I'm only posting around 6 riddles.



Henry Hog found a raccoon and snake in his vegetable garden. One of these creatures has been eating his Henry's prize tomatoes. Even though there are no eye witnesses Slylock fox is confident he knows which animal is the "tomato taster." Who do you think is guilty and why

It's the raccoon. Snakes have no Taste Receptors in their tongues

My guess?

The raccoon, since snakes don't chew, they swallow their food whole.

Here's another simple one. (Though I don't know how a kid would get this?)

Count Weridly claims that aliens living 5 million light years from earth have answered his intergalactic radio message. Weirdly says he asked for and received instructions on how to build a "supreme ruler" crown. The count says whoever wears the crown will control the minds of all earth creatures. How does Slylock Fox know Count Weirdly is bluffing?

It probably has something to do with the fact messages to such distant places would take ages to be received by anyone, and even more time to be answered; you really cannot have an immediate answer.

Something along those lines I guess, don't know enough about this subject to be more specific.

Because not all of Earth's creatures have "minds", per se? Am I overthinking this?

Maybe I should call this animal edition

Slick Smitty supposed to bring a bowl of punch to the block party but the bowl is empty. Smitty insists he didn't neglect his responsibility. Instead he claims Earl Elephant slipped his trunk into the bowl and didn't take it out until he swallowed every drop. How does Slylockfox know Slick Smitty is lying?

elephants dont drink with their trunks, they use their trunks to help get water into their mouths

Slylock Fox and Max Mouse are enjoying th afternoon at the forest museum of Natural History. While visiting th dinosaur exhibit, Slylock noticed something very wrong with the Stegosaurus display. What is wrong?

It appears to have fangs?

When Slylock Fox and Max Mouse entered the bakery to buy a birthday cake, a thief was stealing money from the manager's office. The thief's partner watched at the counter to make sure the clerk did not speak about the theft. What lead Slylock to discover that a robbery was in progress?

I think the clerk wrote something with the icing to ask for help.

Although it also doesn't help the fact that the hostage on the other side of the wall might be screaming

Tiffany Fox caught Slylock Fox and Max Mouse peeking in the windows of Cassandra Cat's house. Slylock claims he's here on official police business investigating a burglary report Cassandra filed three minutes ago. Why doesn't Tiffany believe Slylock's excuse?

Expose this fox!

Because he got there really fast, or because if he was investigating he would be doing something other than looking through the windows?

Yeah, guess peeking is someone's window doesn't exactly qualifies as "investigating", unless they wanted to see what the burglar saw before sneaking in.

By the way, these puzzles escalated quickly.

Why is Slick Smitty the only guy here and is always causing trouble? What are they Implying?

Someone stole a coin collection from Sir Hound's mansion this morning. A witness claims Slick Smitty is the thief. Smitty insists he's been marooned (how is this for kids?) on this island for the past week. What is it about Slick Smitty's appearance that leads Slylock Fox to doubt his alibi?

Although his clothes are ripped, he doesn't appear malnourished.

It might also be that fact that Smitty's reaction to getting back to the mainland isn't that big

Probably his perfectly combed hair (even though he could have used the fishbone) or the fact his water bottle is too small to last for a week.

His hair looks too good.

THIS IS THE FINAL ROUND! I need to focus on persona 5 please.

Late last night one of these suspects broke into a house and stole a radio, toothbrush and flashlight to see his way out. Which one does Slylock Fox believe is most likely to be the robber?

The pig, because the turtle has no ears (of course he actually does, but they are not as visible as hers) and no teeth and the bat hears ultrasounds, which are higher pitched then regular radio transmissions and wouldn't have needed a flashlight to move in the dark.

The bat, he's male, nocturnal and he's got fangs. Not to mention excellent hearing.


Drek does have good points, BUT apperently, by the Riddle's words, the thief is male. It's hard to tell though, both answers work.

Uuuh, you are right, missed the last part.
Could be simply the habit of referring to someone unknown as male, even if he isn't, bit it's still part of the puzzle.

Bats are blind and use echolocation to find their way around. So I'm going to say the bat.

He stole the toothbrush for his fangs, and a radio to use the sound-waves to find his way out. He stole a flashlight to make it seem like it wasn't him.

even if it was a female it wouldnt change the fact a bat doesn't need a flashlight because it's nocturnal and has p good vision in the dark plus echolocation

@paris Bats actually aren't blind it's a common misnomer

The answer is the pig because bat doesn't need flashlight and turtle does not need a toothbrush leaving the pig out.
