The game is just single player racing. You can scan in all 294 different figures but you can only use them as drivers.

Both the Wii and 3DS versions of SuperChargers do not contain the story mode found on all the other consoles.

I posted in the Trap Team forum that I found a ridiculous Craigslist deal for a bunch of Trap Team figures.

Bit of background:

I'd skipped TT, because the kids and I started with Swap Force christmas of '15, so both TT and SC were out already. I collected the 80 up through SF (most recent reposes only), and thought we were done.

Happened upon SC deals about a month ago, so got the starter, and ended up getting all of the figures (still haven't given the kids half of them).

STILL wasn't planning on going back for TT, just because traps are so expensive aftermarket, and I'd need trap masters to access everything, even though most of it is just hats.

But in this Craigslist deal I got 8 trap masters of 6 elements, and one trap of each of the original 8 elements, along with assorted cores, reposes and minis.

I didn't figure I'd ever find the light and dark trap masters for cheap, but talked myself into just getting two more trap masters of the two elements I didn't get in the deal.

ToysRUs is shedding excess warehouse inventory, and by the time I checked the website, the $3 apiece deal was over, and the 3 for $10 hadn't started yet, but they were only $5 apiece between deals, so I figured I might as well get a few before they sold out, and was just going to get the couple I needed to get at least one trap master of each element, before they depleted their inventory.

So HERE'S the buying part: To my surprise, they had single packs of Knight Mare and Knight Light, in addition to an Enigma and Short Cut (magic and undead were the two elements I didn't have), and then I talked myself into getting a Head Rush and Thunderbolt (so the second of each of those elements) to get free shipping.

And they all came in today. I'm admittedly a bit giddy. Not going to give the kids the game til summer break starts, but it's cool to have them.

Gotta say, the Trap Masters definitely are the most impressive looking figures so far. The crystal weapons, along with the better molding and painting than previous games, make them a really solid look. I can see why so many collectors keep them in the packaging as well. I mean, we won't, but it does look cool.

I made the mistake today of checking the TRU website, since they do cycle in and out of stock, and today they have Tuff Luck, Ka-boom, and Blastermind in stock. I have the complimentary Trap Master of each of their elements already, but with the 3 for $10 deal, even after paying for shipping, it's still only $16 for those three. I'm tempted. Shouldn't be, but am. At that point, I'd only be missing Krypt King of the masters. I'm expecting the obvious answer, but should I do it?

Just got Pain-Yatta, and even though he isn't as flawless as the previous figures I'm just so incredibly happy to finally hold him in my hands!

I wouldn't be annoyed at all if he weren't my favorite Trap Team villain.
Can't wait to try him and Grave Clobber out this evening!

Also got the Tech Generator (I think?) Crystal, probably going to create a Quickshot with it.

Picked up an extra dark crystal with the sale at Target. This is the only element I want to have four to have all attack moves.

I also got a chest on sale. First time besides in the Tiki Temple. I want to try to scan it without opening the bag, then exchange it for another one to scan, and repeat until I get so many duplicates I boost stats like crazy. Who was it that posted the level 52 imaginator with like over 2000 on some stats? Is exchanging chests how it's done?

EDIT: this does not work. They will not scan on the portal while in the bag. Stupid dumb bag.

I love finding oddball Skylanders stuff like this! Found this little cutie at a garage sale for only 50 cents. Who knew that they made Swap Force mini clocks? It's only about three inches tall.

Bought Wii U superchargers for $15. It takes swap force, but adds a little action in it. It's great, and I thought it would be worse, but the levels are still pretty boringly long. On launch day I only bought the 3DS and two figures.

Found Blaster-Tron today and ordered Golden Hot Streak online! Superchargers is finally finished. Now if only I could find the Yawn Traps and finish Trap Team...

I pulled the trigger on Imaginators! I was planning on waiting until some serious sales in both starters and figures (didn't expect them til the fall/holidays though), but I happened upon an online seller who had listed for $65, a lot:

and a Fire Crystal
(as well as a SC Kaos Trophy, Imaginators XBOX1 game and portal, and two Disney Infinity characters)

I asked him if he'd take $50 for just the skylanders figures, and I could tell he didn't know what I was talking about, so he was likely selling for someone else. I explained which were which (and actually told him that even though I couldn't use the disc or portal, he'd probably get a decent price for them alone). He was really cool about it and reposted just the skylanders figures, and listed it for me for $5 cheaper than I offered. Sweet! A visit to gamestop for a $10 used disc for my system, and I've essentially got a starter pack and 6 additional senses for $55!!!

Not too shabby!

I don't know when I'm going to give this one to the kids. Shoot, I've just barely given them the rest of the Superchargers characters and trophies, and I haven't given them the Trap Team stuff that I got on Craigslist yet. Deals that ate too good to pass up, though...

Now I'm impatient for the figures to arrive in the mail! I turned on the game for a minute before the kids got home, just using a SC guy. The game looks really well-put-together. From the five minutes I got in the first level, it looks like it has the charm that people love from Giants and Trap Team, but the polish that people love from SF and SC. Excellent synthesis. Will be interested to see how the game develops.

So it looks like all I need in order to have one of each element and battle class is an Undead, Life, Air, and Dark, and to have one of each battle class, Bazooker, Knight and Sentinel. It looks like I could accomplish that with Hood Sickle, Chompy Mage, Wild Storm, and any Undead. Chances are high I won't stop there, though, and those three don't move the needle too much for me, so I may just take my time waiting on sales to pick out others I'd like. As always, suggestions are much appreciated.

Hey, thanks for the info, always useful. Help me understand, though, there's no physical game piece to unlock the level (like in previous games)? The Wild Storm figure itself unlocks it? What does the blue chest do if you don't have the character? Does it just give you the weapon upgrades but not give you access to the level?

As you may have guessed, I've intentionally not followed the Imaginators chatter very much because I didn't want to spoil too much for myself, so it seems a bit of an odd departure from past precedent.

Wait, so the Observatory level and the Elven Forest level do have their own figure (like in SSA/SG/TT), but the others are unlocked only by the senseis?

So basically if I got any of those senseis aftermarket, I'd gain automatic access to the level, and would only miss out on the chest that comes with at least the most recent two? What about the Crash Bandicoot one? There weren't any other figures besides them. Do either of them unlock the Thumpa Whumpa Islands level, or do you need both to do so?

Seems a bit odd that they'd abandon the standalone level piece, unless this was an idea they had after they had finished the game, and the patch they pushed could also tell the game that the later wave senseis also unlock patched levels. I'm guessing there was quite a bit of chatter about this months ago, but wow, there's a lot of info and threads on the site, and it's a bit needle-and-a-haystack-ish.

you guys are lucky. LIM hasn't hit US yet, but this time I'm getting it retail. as much as I enjoy CTT, I could've got it at TRU for retail since they had 15 at the time.

Look what I just got for 25.00

I was so lucky to find a collection like this out in the wild as I didn't think anyone really bought these things.

I got these used at a garage sale this past weekend in a huge 3 garbage bag collection of various toys for $30. I was literally tossing stuff like Lalaloopsy, Monster High, Disney, Minecraft, etc. into a huge pile in the center of the driveway and I didn't even know that I had a gallon sized bag of Skylanders Mega Blocks. I had assumed it was Lego at the time.

I'm going to keep these figures as I rather like them. I'm going to eBay off the bag of Mega Block parts for whatever I can get as I don't really want those. I would love an entire set of just the figures but I know it's unlikely without paying silly prices for them. I don't think they ever got much love around here as I don't recall many people talking about them.

Bought the sea racing action pack for $15.17 at GameStop. It also came with the gold sticker. I saved around $100 by buying clearance from GameStop and ebay.

Finally got this one.

Note: I got it loose on ebay, just stuck it in a Magic single pack with the plastic insert from the Undead Crystal with the same casing, because I wanted to have it boxed for the time being.

I really like how simple it is to repackage the Imaginators boxes.
