My god, it's got it all:

  • Crappy animation - Check
  • Teenage girl protagonist + all-female crew - Check
  • A minority character that doesn't fit in with the setting - Check
  • Muh growing pains - Check
  • Animals!! - Check
  • The clash of two different worlds resulting in the creation of an unlikely friendship - Check

I predict that we won't be hearing much about this show.

Spirit wasn't a bad movie by any means, but this is just shredding the little it had to stand out. Dreamworks is srarting to get too comfy with their Netflix deals.

Everything feels out of place compared to the movie. The characters don't even belong in that time period. It just feels too modern.

I mean, it looks like they tried, but not hard enough.

Oh my lord, this could have worked much better as a homage to their few hand-drawn films.

Well, if the writing itself is on the same level as the film, I expect something decent.

Considering they're on hard time, financially speaking, I can see the reasons. I just hope they can come back to produce great films again, if they eventually get out of this.

At least Trolls was okay. Boss Baby, however, looks like something else...

i only saw this movie once like 13 years ago, but i think most people who remember it would want to see Cool Horse rather than TEEN GURL PROBLEMS
