Carracosta
I don't remember why, but I think I had a really hard time getting this Pokémon. Also, unpopular opinion: I like it better than Archeops.

I actually like Carracosta better too. Archeops is cool and all, but there's just something about Carracosta that I like so much more.

Basculin actually has two forms because late into the development of BW, they realized they were low on standard fish Pokémon, so they made Basculin and gave it two forms.

Today's PotD is the Hostile Pokémon, Blue Stripe Basculin!

The next PotD will be a 5th-Generation Bug Type Pokémon.

Correct Guesses:

Null.

Shiny Basculin sucks, even Shiny Garchomp is better.

... Oh right. Scolipede, just because it's best bug.

At least Shiny Garchomp becomes pink when it goes Mega smilie

Scolipede and Genesect are hands down the best bug types.

Maybe purple bugs are just inherently cool.

I like how Genesect is supposedly Kabutops as well smilie
Also Golisopod. That shiny, man. I want one to nickname "Bionis". Shame its ability sucks so bad.

Oh man, I was so disappointed that Golisopod had the same ability as Wimpod. So much potential there lost.

I was reading about this on Bulbapedia and I found out from this that in dinosaur times there were actually real huge insects and I just spent a good 20 minutes reading articles about giant bugs

Well Dusclops is just the transitional middle stage, that'd be like saying 'Oh man I'm disappointed in Combusken'. I think Dusclops is cool though. Might be bias because it was the second Pokémon I ever knew, but whatever. I like it.

I think gen 6 did really good with middle stages. For most of the 3 stages for gen 6 I actually like the middle stage more than the final. Braixen, Floette, Doublade, Sliggoo...

Though agree gen 1 did good with not making them look too transitional unlike later starters.

Cinccino

Minccino is so absolutely adorable and Minccino is... I guess it isn't much worse, but it's just fine to me... It really doesn't change enough and the 'scarfs' make it look too heavy. Minccino is better.

Yeah Minccino is definitely better than Minccino. I agree that not a lot changes when Minccino evolves into Minccino. It's almost as if they're the exact same Pokémon

Why is the species name a verb? That's weird. Like, adjectives and nouns sound fine when used as a species name. But "Meditate Pokémon"? It sounds simply strange.
