Really wish Metallia's personality wasn't changed in Disgaea 5. She was awesome in Disgaea D2.

I kind of miss Ash and Marona as well, though that might just be because Phantom Brave was the first NIS game I played.

I'd really like to see Professor Pyg as maybe the main antagonist. There was an Easter Egg for him in the actual movie, where he briefly appeared on a billboard for a butchery. I think he was the only villain in the comics that forced Batman and The Joker to work together, so that could make for a really interesting and funny movie plot where the Batman and Joker have to try and save the day without killing each other first. Also, Pyg could be voiced by John Goodman. After seeing Goodman in 10 Cloverfield Lane, I know that he can definitely play the role of a really creepy character.

OR we could get the Composite Superman as the villain, and Batman and Superman have to team up.

Well they suck when the people working on it have no idea or heart about the source material. Even if Warcraft and Kingslaive are meh, you can feel the effort and they're accurate, if a mess in trying to be accurate in so little time.

Shouldn't Uncharted be the easiest to make a movie for?
Like they got inspiration for the game from National Treasure and Indiana Jones plus another movie I cant remember.

It should be really simple to make a great Uncharted movie but it's clear this guy has never played the games and thinks he can capitalize on Deadpool's success on being R using the Uncharted license. Assassin's Creed had a similar problem. Assassin's Creed should've been great but they wasted it by having the overall story and characters go nowhere and it just get extremely boring as a result. it showed that the writers didn't really know what to do with the movie at all outside the cool stuntwork. This Uncharted movie is already dead on arrival and they haven't even gotten to production stages yet.

That's pretty much the problem.

Developer goes "I want National Treasure but with more lore and hardcore parkour"
People working on the movie go "The audience wants edgy gun fights, sexy women and the conflict of stealing things! And some archeological exploration I guess"

Sometimes it's as simple as ripping off of existing movies/common stories and they fail even then.

...God I really hope the animated Castlevania series doesn't fall on this trap. The summary and the art is promising, but I heard the producer also likes to shove R rated content where there's no need to.

That's gonna be such a sting to the heart seeing my favorite series get such disrespect.

At this rate i think Deadpool both revolutionized and doomed the film industry.

It's great that Deadpool did so well and that studios are now noticing the potential in making blockbuster R-rated films(Logan is a good example of this), but I feel like now studios are going to try doing crazy hard-R movies to try and replicate Deadpool's success and nothing else. Uncharted being this "foul mouthed, brutal, hard-R rated" film is just one example.

Speaking of video game movies sucking, the monster hunter movie is gonna blow. Hard. How can I tell? Well first it's a VG movie (laughtrack) but the main reason is that it's live action. This doesn't work. You can't take a fantasy environment with huge monsters with horrible powers and make it live action. That means they have to abuse CGI a la bayformers which is just, not gonna work. If they just made it an animated film it would have waaay more potential.

And then you remember the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog film is a live action/animation hybrid made by Sony...

Instant classic.

MH could work live action if it was a huge budget, but the aside from people not caring, there's also the issue of having to keep the actors visible. The whole fun of MH is wearing huge chunky armor to fight monsters with armor to take their armor and make bigger chunkier armor. So nor the monsters nor the heroes have much chance of looking good.


Also, I just noticed something. Is it me or every single TCG with Wind powers has a card called Dust Devil? I get Whirlwind or Thunder or whatever, but dust devils?

No idea... Speaking about video game films, I was wondering about the Sly Cooper movie...

I think the Sonic film is stuck right now. Sony is going through with the movie and has a studio and producers attached(ironically, it's the same studio and producers that made the Fast and Furious films), but they haven't said a whole lot about it since then.

I want it to be good but Sony having it is already the worst sign possible. Sony handling a license of any sort is just a recipe for disaster. They did it to Ghostbusters, they did it to Smurfs, and they did it to Spider Man. Twice. Sonic is probably going to be the same case.

speaking of video game films, director Gore Verbinski talked about the cancelled Bioshock film recently. Apparently the film was cancelled because he wanted to make an r-rated Bioshock with a big budget but the studio told him either make it PG-13 with a big budget or get a low budget and make it R. MAJOR props to Verbinski. I personally really dislike his films(outside the first Pirates of the Caribbean) and i think I probably would've disliked the movie if he went through with directing it, but it's so great to know that he didn't sell out and wanted to make the film as faithful to the game as possible.
