I’ve seen a lot of lament for sunburn, but there are others who faced the same fate.

I’ve compiled a full list of core skylanders who only ever received ONE figure form.

This means they never got a lightcore, repose, mini, eon’s elite, variant, ect.

Not counting chase variants.

Sunburn
Fright Rider
Dune Bug
Pop Thorn
Riptide
Punk Shock
Scorp
Scratch
Wind-Up
Bat Spin
Blackout
Chopper
Echo
Fist Bump
Fling Kong
Flip Wreck
Funny Bone
High Five
Rocky Roll
Spotlight
Torch
Trail Blazer
Tread Head

None of those figures need a second release, in my opinion. In fact, I would have rather seen far less duplicates or triplicates of figures than we got. The figure overload is part of the reason as to why the franchise is sinking right now.

Neat list!

Here's a list of all the translucent base figures with no other versions including chase variants:

Sunburn

Swarm

Boom Jet
Grilla Drilla
Rubble Rouser
Spy Rise
Pop Thorn
Punk Shock
Roller Brawl
Scratch
Wind-Up

Blastermind
Enigma
Gearshift
Gusto
Ka-Boom
Knight Light
Knight Mare
Wallop
Bat Spin
Blackout
Chopper
Echo
Fist Bump
Fling Kong
Flip Wreck
Funny Bone
High Five
Rocky Roll
Spotlight
Torch
Trail Blazer
Tread Head

It makes sense to stop there because they started calling them reimagined instead of reposed, but Roller Brawl is the only one who manages to cross over into SuperChargers.

then, including chase variants-

Sunburn
Punk Shock
Scratch
Bat Spin
Blackout
Chopper
Echo
Fist Bump
Fling Kong
Flip Wreck
Funny Bone
High Five
Rocky Roll
Spotlight
Torch
Trail Blazer
Tread Head

trap team had so many new characters, where pretty much all but a select few were forgotten. Maybe that's why cores aren't a thing anymore.

What? How did Pop Thorn and Wind-Up get dropped?

I know there's some differences between the Adventure Pack and Single, but the pallet is the same.

Why this obsession with this topic? I don't see the need for constant reposes for all the characters. It's not a bad thing for me.

I think it's more of a fascination with the fact that some characters only have 1 figure. Sunburn always gets referenced, but there are others. It's not to argue that there should be more than 1, but rather to notice how many there are in this special group. It's like they're rare for only having 1 figure. There's more humor than obsessiveness.

Don't think so, there is a lot of complaining about this matter all over the forum. I don't think is about "humour".

You asked about this "topic". Anyway, I find it funny that people gripe about not having something they don't even want. How is that not funny?

What makes Sunburn so referenced I this topic is that he is the only one from the original game without a re-pose. But, yes, there is to much obsession with this fact. I think it's more noteworthy that Terrafin never got a variant.

Or that freakin' Gill Grunt never got a Variant.

You're being sarcastic, right? Terrafin has... 5 counterparts apart form the original S1... (S2, S3, Elite, Mini and SuperCharger).

He's in every game through SuperChargers without a color variant:

It's funny how people joke about Gill Grunt while Terrafin was handled the exact same way, step-by-step, with the exception of Chase Variants. I guess it's because most people like to play as Terrafin, but not as Gill Grunt.

Agree. I love Gill Grunt, he's my second favourite water Skylander after Zap. I went through the 80% of Spyro's Adventure playing only with him when I started.

Actually, I think it's because Gill Grunt got a repose in literally every game except Imaginators, but others got Eon's Elites instead of a repose.

Yeah, Gill Grunt has a repose, while others have only Elite and Mini versions.

But isn't Stealth Elf the actual character with most figures? I think it's 10, not even counting Chase Variants.

Stealth Elf is tied with Trigger Happy with or without a chase variant.
