Because it's their show and they have the final say on what they do or do not keep from the canon? Also there are very few Sky Vehicles in Superchargers for all the main crew.

It WAS on Geek and Sundry's Twitch channel, but now it's pretty much over. They spent a lot of time on Futurama and earlier shows Eric worked on and not enough time on Skylanders Academy. I really wanted to hear more about Eric pitching and writing the show, but I guess that'll have to wait.

So I'm a little late, but I just watched the first episode of the show and thought I should post something that stood out to me. Not sure that I'll watch all of the episodes but I'm glad I watched the first one. I should say first that I really enjoy the Legend of Spyro games (even though ANB and DOTD are, in my opinion, not good games- I still like all 3 of them for whatever reason ) and have played only the first Skylanders game and didn't really appreciate it (just my personal preference). I will say that in the first episode of this show, Spyro had more character development in 45 minutes than in all 3 TLOS games combined. Just thought I'd give credit where it is due: coming from a fan of the original and TLOS games who doesn't even follow the Skylanders games at all, it was refreshing.

The first one isn't exactly the best one according to most fans. It's awesome you liked the pilot,but do give a try for the next few if you can, it gets real good :3

Yeah, I didn't consider it to be a storytelling masterpiece or anything, I was just really impressed that a silly cartoon (silly as in the mood, not as an insult) had more character development for a single character than a trilogy of games that was going for an "epic story" did for its main character. When they first showed Spyro's ego I wanted to shout out "character flaw!" which is something you can't really do in TLOS, unfortunately. I'll definitely check out some more episodes when I get some time.

Also can I just say how weird it is that Spyro and Ratchet are on Netflix now... If you would have told me that just 2 or 3 years ago I never would have believed you... Actually I'm still not sure that I entierly believe it.

And I just realized, Crash and Daxter also make an appearance on Netflix, because of Spyro and Ratchet. Man this is weird. But somehow so fitting...

I have a lot more confidence about the series future as a whole as of today.

Did someone find more than the two(three counting the social media picture which might be S1) pictures in the articles? The original announcement had tons of new pictures and it was pretty cool watching the show looking for their context; but all I can find are Kaos and Glumshanks with a bow and Spyro and SE with marshmallows.

But they're not in skylanders at all, and because of that have absolutely zero chance of being in the show.

Eric mentioned on his twitter that he tried talking the higher ups out of having Crash voiced. I bet 50% was the fact that he was the one doing it (he really beats himself up over that despite the amazing performance, doesn't he), but it's nice that he was attempting to get a more accurate portrayal.

Alright, I've watched the first 9 episodes at this point, and I'm back to (once again) give credit where credit is due. Last time I posted after watching one episode that I appreciated the show, but after watching most of the first season, I'll admit that its dang good. As someone who has literally no previous attachment to the characters or the franchise (I've made my personal opinions of Skylanders clear before: I've got nothing against it but it REALLY isn't my cup of tea) I absolutely love the show. I think its saying a lot that the show is just plain good on its own, even with almost no previous knowledge of the games (I'm not completely clueless, though- I got the Superchargers and catch phrases references).

Okay, I think I'm done gushing now. And I'll definitely be watching the other seasons as they come out.

Nice! Glad to have another person to discuss the series here when it comes out, it was really fun last time to rush to the forums after binge watching.

Cynder is Felicia Day, that was already revealed.

If they're truly talking about SA and not another show Eric's doing a collab on, it's actually quite a mystery. We don't have a single female character that's "on demand' after her because Hex, Stealth Elf, RB, Flashwing, GQ and Dreamcatcher are there, and Chill is the only existing one without any lines. Anyone else we have no hints on, because we're covered on flagships.

If I had to make a guess with vocal range though, it's even harder. Amethyst and some character in Barney are more or less her only roles, and Amethyst's character in general is covered by the gals already on the show. Tessa, Mags or Cali maybe since we didn't have much of the school staff?

Oh, okay. I didn't know about Felicia, my bad.

Also, maybe she could be voicing Chill. I know her voice probably wouldn't match Chill's personality, but then again, it's not like the show is trying to be 100% accurate to the games. As evidenced by Pop Fizz and Wolfgang's backstories and Hex's personality.

His behavior in the show also makes me think he has zero sense of self preservation. This guy isn't like game Kaos, he gets his hands dirty all the time.

Yeah, I thought Kaos's characterization in Academy was a bit different from the games. I think part of it was that Richard Horvitz turned down the ham quite a bit for the Netflix series.
