The animals of the political parties fit them so well. Donkeys are stubborn but pretend they aren't, so do Democrats. Donkeys are thought to be good but when that's all we have its havoc, so are Democrats. Elephants are poached for their ivory, Republicans are similar, they're poached for their beliefs and/or opinions. Elephants feel sadness when someone dies, so do Republicans, but donkeys/democrats not so much.

Wow, those poor noble republicans being constantly, viciously attacked by those nasty democrats, we should make them and endangered species, because those evil democrats are so nasty.

Seriously, you're going to say that everyone who doesn't share you political opinion is so heartless that they don't care when someone dies? And how every single republican is such a noble creature, and every single democrat is a heartless asshole? Terrible people are still terrible, regardless of their political party, and you can't be saying how every republican is nice, and how every democrat is evil.

And how if there's democrats in charge, it's havoc? I don't know if you've noticed, but Obama has been in charge for 8 years, and the country hasn't devolved into a lawless ****hole.

actually in historic terms, the donkey comes from Jackson's campaign, where his opponents called him a jackass.

while the elephant only comes from one of Thomas Nast's cartoons in which a donkey dressed up in lions clothes and scared all the zoo animals away. the elephant in said cartoon was labeled "the republican vote" and nast used it so much after that..that it kind of just became the mascot for the republican party.

When you think of the word "stubborn", you think of something or someone that does not want to move or change. That's absolutely the definition of conservatism, a political ideology that remains a staple of Republicanism.

That last statement is also completely off base. If Democrats had no sympathy when someone dies, why do they continually try to fight for gun control, and raise the issue up whenever there's a mass shooting where several civilians died?

NOTE: I'm an independent.

And Jackson was a complete monster, so that fits him pretty well. I'm incredibly happy that a pathetic little w**** like him is getting removed from our currency. Even a hypocrite like Thomas Jefferson did more for the country than poor little Adams 2 did.

Perfection is a myth. It is important to strive to be the very best you can possibly be, but perfection is a concept that cannot be obtained, as there is always room for improvement and room to grow. Those who spend all their lives chasing perfection can create great things, but never be satisfied with any of it because it isn't "perfect".

Perfection implies that there is nothing to fix. Everything is at the highest standard that can ever be reached before, now, and in the future. If an item is described as "perfect" at one point, but is later improved on as time goes on, it was never actually perfect.

When we describe things as perfect, we often exaggerate, since perfection is, as mentioned earlier, not obtainable. We get overly zealous when we describe things as perfect when they absolutely can be improved upon or fixed, and do not represent the greatest we can reach. The bar is always going to be set higher, and can always be reached eventually.

That said, Project Diva Future Tone is the closest thing to perfection mankind will ever achieve.

Just show them Josuke's testicles. If they aren't immediately dying for context, they aren't true friends. If they are dying, you get away with legal indirect murder. Win-win.

(Random ramble about retro game reviewers)

I think very few people who review retro games know how to do it right. I mean, most reviews of old games are basically the dude saying "this game is my childhood", "it's perfect", "the series is now trash", "it was magic", etc. That's... Not productive... At least in my opinion. A good retro game review needs to booth review the quality of a game according to the standards of that time, plus, see how the game holds up to today standards. At least that's my opinion. So yeah, I know it's hard to not let the nostalgia googles blind you, but at least these reviewers should try more.

It hurts my very soul.

Don't forget the Sonic reviews where they always put a classic genwunner that can't bear the sight of anyone else but Tails and immediately detracts point because Amy or Knuckles do something. If they're not purposefully playing the game badly to make it look worse than it actually is.

I mean aren't most of the games they scored poorly genuinely not very good?

While not good, they gave VERY poor reasoning. People generally don't care for Lost World, but everyone got on its side after IGN decided that playing with a hand tied to their backs is the best way to showcase their review gameplay. It's one thing if they couldn't pull off the parkour, but simply walking or spindashing were clearly being botched on purpose to make it seem unresponsive.
