Yeah, it won't be long until a really hot person walks past you, then you'll never be asexual again. I knew I wasn't asexual because of... nevermind, you'll judge me if I tell you (he isn't anyone that famous, or previously that famous). But, I don't really believe that asexuality is really a thing, I believe it's a lack of attraction to everyone you've previously seen.

My initial comment still stands. Not to be insensitive or anything, lord knows I don't wanna join the hate bandwagon for no good reason, but isn't there literally no difference between that and being a lesbian. I know sex and feels are two separate things, but if I'm being completely honest... Nobody will care to remember that.

Yeah. I think you should know that, technically, being a lesbian means you have sexual attraction to girls. This term doesn't refer to the feelings, just the sex. Don't wanna say you're wrong and hate on you. Just wanna let the stuff clear.

When you're asexual, you can get into a relationship with a man or a woman, since thr sex doesn't matter.

Let me put this in another way
I am a lesbian who is not sexually attracted to women, I still however love women and would love to go on dates with them and some day possibly get married to one.

In basic sense of the following words
Homosexual= Sexual attraction to the same gender
Homoromantic= Romantic attraction to the same gender
Lesbian= A girl that likes other girls


And no that is not what asexuality means, you are mistaking it for pan/bi sexuality.

I don't like guys at all (sexually or romantically), so actually no I can't be with a man or a woman. I can never see myself with a man
I do like women though, in a romantic way exclusively.

I mean, I don't blame you. I hold a little skepticism myself after all of the posts about how hot certain women are and of how Windumup's posted about her fetish. I can recall a number of posts that seem to contradict it. Still, Imma just wait and see how it goes.

Ace people do exist, people ace erasing in this thread make me sad, but I doubt you are, Windemup.

You just said that girls kissing was hot, which is sexual. It can be pretty, which is romantic, but hot is sexual. So I'm sorry, but you probably aren't ace.

Going from Ace to Gay/Straight/Pan/Bi isn't going back to normal though. It just means you didn't finish your self discovery until then. Some straight people think they're gay, and vise versa. Take your time.

Lesbians are just girls who just like other girls (sexually and/or romantically) so it's not really contradictory.

I am a girl, I like only other girls.

Not true. I've felt attraction love towards people that has had nothing to do with sex. Obviously, it would be involved eventually, but I believe in the musical theatre brand of love. La La Land/Amelie brand of love.

It's a feeling of happiness and of feeling like you've got a song in your heart. That's how I feel.

Like, I'm not repulsed by sex, but that's not my primary interest.

Yeah, true.

Whenever Windumup makes a topic like this for attention, my heart hurts since it marginalizes the issues that real people face. Her going back and forth between different stances leads people to take our movement less seriously. Do I believe that she might be trying to find herself, sure. True love is a beautiful thing that doesn't require sex, if it's true love. But most likely, she's looking for attention

While I agree that she's over-complicating the situation, I find it annoying that you're basically saying that there's no such thing as asexuality.

Mainly because there's more to attraction than just sexual attraction, so someone can still be attracted to other aspects of a person besides appearance.
This doesn't mean, however, that they want to have sex with another person, nor does it mean that they just "don't want to actually **** right now".

It's complicated because it's really not as simple as you're trying to make it out to be, but, as I said before, she is over-complicating it.
(Especially by still referring to herself as a lesbian despite claiming to be asexual)



I am never good with my wording and I apologize for making it seem like I thought asexuality is a myth. Heck, I know a guy who's probably asexual. The point still stands that it was a dumb over complication of a seemingly simple issue. I wouldn't know being a straight black man how any of this works nor will I ever understand fully. Why try and complicate the matter with random terms and such mashed together that seemingly contradict one another.

To me, being asexual seems like it should mean that you have absolutely no sex drive, effectively as though your sex organs were removed at birth. Any sex drive at all would mean you are sexual, however slightly. Sometimes you might go through periods of very low libido, especially if you are experiencing depression or taking medication, but that is not the same as being asexual.
