Does the Cloverfield monster count? He still scares the heck outta me and the movie came out a long time ago.

Now, in all seriousness, it's probably the Goblin Shark. They are like Great Whites but even creepier.

The ocean is one thing that actually really scares me. It's so deep and we know virtually nothing about it. Also, anything could be down there, in the pitch black depths. There could be something down there, something bigger than we could possibly imagine. Something bigger than all of us.

More than the fish in the ocean, I'd say the depths of the oceans themselves. No light, no sense of placement, at any point you could be swimming under a rock ceiling and trap yourself, and the pressure.

Might be just from watching too much Subnautica last year. There are a lot of scary fish, but I find them cool and badass instead of terrifying, like the Mantis Shrimp. Wouldn't want to be one anytime soon though, I like having fingers attached to my hand.

Completely serious right now, the one from Mario 64 terrified me as a kid. I absolutely absolutely hated it. I hated not knowing what was around me, not being able to see everything, the fact I could look straight ahead and just see water, and then the fish would come out of nowhere. My fear made me unable to beat the level because I wasn't able to bring myself to go into the water. Kingfin wasn't too scary for me, because that galaxy was just a really small globe of water and I could see everything that was going on, I was more scared of Bone Fin galaxy and surprisingly the waters in Beach Bowl galaxy, because they were so deep and vast, and then there were the eels in Beachbowl aaa
