I actually use both, though I predominantly use right shift.

Suppose it has to do with the way I taught myself how to type, since I never could do the homerow thing because that actually drove me nuts.

I'm weird I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Uh, I'm pretty sure I tend to favor the left side. But admittedly I think that's because the letter I capitalize most frequently is, of course, "I" and it's much easier to use left shift and hit the I-key. <.<;

I do the same. It's mainly because I have problems getting shift to only work on one specific letter, though.
