Your friend is doing the world a service. Adding bells to chokers so that everyone could be alerted when people who wear them are approaching is an excellent idea.

Just because it's cat-like doesn't mean it's for furries. (And hilariously, I tend to see more canine furries then cat ones. I am not a furry though)
