What's A Christmas Movie And What's Not

Out of these three movies, what's a Christmas movie and what isn't, in your opinion? When do you think is an acceptable time of year to watch these movies?:

Die Hard
Gremlins
Nightmare Before Christmas

My opinion:
Die Hard - Sort of, but it can be watched any time of year
Gremlins - Kind of, but, like Die Hard, it can be watched whenever
Nightmare Before Christmas - Definitely, no doubt about it, but I think that it can also be watched at Halloween

So, what's your opinion on these movies?

Die Hard and Gremlins can be watched anytime of the year, but it's especially good to watch these movies during Christmas!

Nightmare before Christmas is a Halloween thing to me.

I lean no on all three; or rather I wouldn't bother myself. They feel like movies people watch specifically because they're cynical about Christmas but they're being told to put on a Christmas movie anyway.

Nightmare gets close at least.

@CAV I'm not cynical about the holidays, and I love Nightmare. It was a aholiday tradition to watch it with my bf on christmas eve every year.

..until it got taken off of netflix. ><
