I never realized just how much I loved and missed Crash until the speculation of the Crash Imaginators edition was going around. I'd been familiar with the series since I was a lil' kid and played a bunch of the games, but then it sort of just drifted away for a long time. BUT. I started to look around and stuff because I was getting hyped for the announcement, and accidentally started getting obsessed. Annnd of course this didn't go away when they showed him and mentioned the remakes. That just sealed it man. So now I kind of won't shut up about Cortex to any of my friends, and I don't even know how to go about it anymore. But it's fun.

The "YouTuber that shall not be named" Imaginators review is mostly fair in my eyes. Mostly.
But this wasn't. I mean, mixing PR with the company in general isn't fair.

It annoys me like heck when people say "BCE" it's called BC people! There is no "common era"! Is "common era" the stupid Democrat excuse for BC?

Look, I understand how you feel about things like that. Heck, in a way I share your sentiments. But please, try to be civil about it. Throwing insults and blaming things on people of a different political party only makes you look bad, and others feel bad. That's where I don't share your sentiments. I don't demonize people, and especially half of the American population, which is a very, very broad group of people. Quote: Mesuxelf
While I don't mind hearing others religious opinions (being religious myself), I'd prefer that they be less angry about it. |

Speaking of society years, as generic and idealistic the proposition of changing years to +10,000 (The First Temple and sign of civilization, etc), I'd kind of like it, especially since there'd be soo much more room to encourage reading history than the current division of prehistory+classical age+middle age+now for younger people. Fully aware it's every programmer's nightmare, though :c

1. Common era is the equivalent of AD, not BC. 2. Democrats have nothing to do with this? lol 3. This may come as a surprise to you, but not everyone is religious. Using BCE and CE removes the religious implications of identifying time eras.

Just like how not everyone is religious, not everyone is agnostic/atheist. Alydol confessed a post like the thread actually says to and it's not a malicious confession at that. No need to dogpile.

Not to get into any arguments but there's a couple people on here that I just don't take seriously anymore when they claim they're going to leave because they always change their mind or come back within a week. It's changing their mind yes but it feels almost indicative of a mood swing issue or an obsession with the site that they can't break.

Pretty much most reasons why someone wants to leave is emotional, and it makes sense. I just don't understand why people get so much crap about it, like who cares.

It makes sense but it's a bit of an annoyance. What if I left the site or group every time I was having an off day (shut up I seldom actually leave)?
And quite honestly I don't see that many people getting crap for it because I can think of a couple people who do it frequently that everyone's cool with (including myself). Alydol hears it because people have an issue with them. |

I don't understand stand why people think scars are ugly and need to be removed. They tell the stories of everything that happened to them. In my opinion people shouldn't remove scars. Someday I want to tell my grandchildren "and I got this one from...." even if the story behind it isn't that great. But having scars is a sign that this person is courageous, because they weren't a scaredy cat who didn't want to face the world and also they are brave because someone who always has to look good.

I think it can sometimes come down to where the scar comes from. For some, the scar could be a reminder of pain as opposed to a sign of bravery, not all come from doing something silly or cool. It could come from the time their mother pulled a knife on them or how their father used their body to put out his cigarettes. Removing those scars wouldn't be a matter of being ugly looking, more wanting to forget the ugly memory as much as possible.
