So when Skylanders inevitably ends, it may be after S2 of SA and after Sky7! What do you think the aftermath will be?

I personally think that people will prioritize other games, such as LEGO Dimensions/Amiibo games or possibly leave the genre as a whole.
Then SkyDad might go into a coma... (I actually watch them please don't judge me. They are the only people I can find who do GOOD skylander hunting videos) Then his kids might just... IDK... Skymom will be...fine.

and what if it will end after season 3 and skylanders 8? or s4 and sky9? or 10? what if it will achive immortalty?.

It's done.. let it go. Needs time off. Take a year or so be more original. The fad has worn off.

Confirmed: Gill Grunt was keeping the game alive.

Gill Grunt made a promise back in 2011; If he dies, the series goes with him.

SkyDad has other channels that get a ton of views with things not releated to Skylanders. I'd be more concerned about youtubers that have been doing almost only Skylanders content for the past few years.

I'll just move on from TTL as a whole. Even if there is no game in 2017 but one in 2018, I don't think I'll come back.

I'll likely receive far less views when I do other games on my channel other than Skylanders. The only reason my channel rose up was because of Skylanders back in 2011-12.

What I'm most sad about is that this series is literally the only thing that makes me happy to wake up and know I'm still alive. With it disappearing, I'm gonna need a new spark of life to keep me happy in the day. Yeah I'm pretty sad most of the time and don't exactly have much to live for to be honest.

Its just a game GhostRoaster, we can still love Skylanders, even if its gone. the fandom will always be around.

Also, there's like, thousands of games around. Skylanders is just one of them. We can play many ones (and much more if Skylanders was like, the only Toys-for-Life game you played).

Well yeah, but I have had like the monopoly of horrible luck of loving something to the point like literally the moment I love something, it is immediately confirmed to be cancelled later on. It's just a terrible curse or some sick joke I always have going in my life is all. However, I am grateful you both are helping me feel better about the situation. Most times no one even wants me to feel better so that does bring a smile to my face and thank you.

I know I said I wasn't going to suggest moving to Lightseekers... But I kinda consider it. It's a new IP, pretty similar to ours in aesthetics, and there's a bit of overlay of DS users in their forums as well. Just food for thought, even if it's far from your budget.

Hang in there, Ghost Roaster, you'll find something new to love.

I guess the lifeline of this forum will be gone and most users will fade away. That's a sad thought.

EDIT: After a bit of thought, I realized I'll still play the games for a couple years, and I'll still be here, massive a bit Lee's often. What about you guys?

I'm still on Spyro's Adventure, so I have entire 5 games to buy and play. So I guess it isn't that much of a loss to me...

TT was impossible to complete for less than $1k when it was new. :/

If Skylanders ends, I will be very sad but understand why they did it at this point. I'll miss it, as Skylanders really helped me through some tough times in my life. It was like a best friend. It could always raise my spirits really easily when I was very down. However, I would have to move on eventually. I'll try my best to complete Imaginators without spending a fortune and buy a few more crystal before they vanish off of the shelves, and then, I guess I'll turn my attention to collect Godzilla collectibles and maybe buying a PS4 so I could get N.Sane Trilogy. It'll be sad, but Skylanders had to end eventually. It'll of just ended sooner than I thought.

And I will definitely stay here. I've met some great people here and I couldn't just Ollie out because Skylanders ended. I'd just become more invested in S&N and other boards.

Yes that be a very good idea to finish the older games sooner than later. There are a lot of older characters that will indeed be very hard to get, but I'm sure can be done with a little patience and good planning. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you can get most of them.

Actually if I remember correctly, if you got everything for retail price, it would amount to a total of $300-$500 (add an extra 15 to include yawn traps)

I'll keep favorites,but my Gill Grunts and some others that I had to get for various reasons can definately go.

...What the hell are you even talking about? Muffin Man is one of the oldest users in the forum. Most people here, in fact, are around 15 and up.

I'll be leaving the TTL genre as a whole when it ends. Every other game related to it that has come and gone failed to capture my interests, and I personally dislike the Lightseekers thing. Even if I did, I wouldn't get them because I really don't want anything else to eat up my money like Skylanders did. I'm still going to be on the forums because I don't come to talk about the actual games that much anyway, so it'll mostly feel the same. I just won't be checking for the news anymore.

There are still some other fandoms I'm in such as R&C, Spyro, Sonic and Crash. There isn't as much talk around regarding the fandoms, but I've already been invested in them for years now. I'll finally have the chance to buy other things that I enjoy without feeling like I'm missing out on the newest Skylanders too.

The forum also won't be as active as before, because I doubt everyone will move over to S&N. (I'll be hanging around like I do now though.) But we survived the gap between Spyro and Skylanders, so perhaps something else will pop up in the meantime too.

If this is truly the end, I guess I'll just move on and fulfill my other interests. I mean, I'll still play the games, and keep my collection, but my main focus will be on other fandoms instead. I was thinking about trying Lego Dimensions, which seems interesting to me (more interesting than Disney Infinity at least).

As for this site, I guess I'll stay here, but just be more active in Stuff & Nonsense and other forums.

I'll still play Skylanders and I won't sell them, but I will definitely start to pursue my other interests. I mean, NECA has produced some really neat figures lately (pumped for their Shin Godzilla), so I guess I'll build my collection of their figures.

I'd buy the Skylanders games I don't have (Swap Force and Trap Team), and I'll keep looking for the few characters/toys left that I want. I'll keep my collection (next to the rest of things/figures I collect), and I'll replay the game whenever I feel like doing it, as I do with the rest of the things in my life (books, comics, series, videogames, etc). Simply. Skylanders will be a hobby more, as it is nowadays, I'll still love it and that's all.

I'm also planning on all re-painting my figures to improve certain faults.

To complete it with the starter pack, the 2 adventure packs, the 2 element expansions, and a trap master and trap of every element not included in those when it was all new only adds up to about $365 USD
