When Sybil couldn't find the source of the noise, she continued to follow the group, looking back to see if she found anything.mbut as she walked, she wondered if the caracal would end up loving the Haven so much that she would decide to stay. She didn't exactly trust her yet, so she wasn't looking forward to the idea.

Their voices were being carried upwind, but when the wind stopped it made it harder to find them. The voices seemed to die down entirely until two snakes slithered out into the open somewhere behind Sybil.

"From now on, only talk to the residents here. I don't want you getting hurt by untrustworthy people."
"But everyone here is boring! I wanted to know what the snake was doing!"
"Well, sometimes you need to use caution over curiosity."

"Well, it's hard to say, since they're all over the place. They all come back in one piece, so that's a good sign," Skaliscin laughed. She saw Sholeh out of the corner of her eye, and refused to look over at her. "What's been happening with you?"

Sybil looked behind her, and could tell those voices were from warblers at all. Making sure the group was way ahead of her, she could see who the mysterious talkers were.
"Hah. I knew it. You little snakes, you should be careful where you all. I think me and my friends almost stepped on you." Sybil warned, having heard part of the conversation, but when she heard snake, she thought they were talking about themselves. Those little guys seemed awfully like Skaliscin and Voracivenom, and it would be too much coincidence if thy were just other Haven guests she didn't heard of.

At AJ's tree, Sholeh likewise ignored Skaliscin, having understood the message. She left the snake and the margay have a conversation to their heart's content, but she was ready to tell them off if they took too long.

The snakes halted their conversation at Sybil's interjection. Upon closer inspection, one of them was, indeed, Voracivenom. The other was much smaller, and of a brighter, lighter hue of orange.

"Oh, hello, mistress!" Voraci greeted. "I don't believe we were anywhere near your party. I think we would have noticed you."
"Yeah, Dad doesn't pay attention very much when he's mad."
"I wasn't mad, I was worried. Concerned. I would never be angry at you for something you didn't know was wrong." He turned back to Sybil, remembering that she was there. "Ah, forgive me. This is Coral, one of our daughters--"
"Hi."
"-- You may have seen her out and about."

AJ: I motion for her to come deeper inside. Then in a whisper, I speak. "Skaliscin, you keep a secret? The truth is that I have been living a double life, the one here and the other in the outback with the dingoes that found me so long ago. I don't know how the others would react if they knew, but I love Odette and her husband, as much as I do all of you. The truth is that they have been like the mother and father I never had, well I did have Chica for a time, but now... Are you angry with me, Skaliscin? Should I stop this, living this secret double life, behind your backs? I just wish that..." I trail off looking away and nervously flicking my tail back and forth.

OOC: I should note that the male dingo accompanying Odette is not her mate. They're just friends. Joshua is considerably younger than Odette. Sorry if I hadn't made this clear before.


Skaliscin listened to AJ's confession, and seemed completely unfazed. Well, she was definitely curious about his situation, but her reaction was tame compared to what the margay may have been expecting.
"Hey, that sounds perfectly fine with me. Live your own life, do your own thing," she encouraged. "But just know that you're putting yourself at risk. I don't think Jaeger would be too happy to know that a Haven resident is living in his territory. And Sybil would be worried if they find out, for a number of reasons." She paused. "But... they don't have to find out. If you've been-- how long have you been doing this again?"

"Hmm... daughter eh?" Sybil repeated, her suspicions now confirmed. Skaliscin and Coracivenom had gotten together, which meant they were the first residents that had offsprings right there at the Haven. That made her incredibly happy, and even though she wanted to celebrate the event, there wasn't time for any of that.

"Well then, just be careful out there. We sometimes walk without looking at the ground." Sybil warned, still quite happy but also stressed as well with the present situation.
"Anyway, if you see your parents, please tell them to visit me occasionally. I haven't seen them in a long time. And they can bring the rest of the family." Sybil said, imagining there were more little snakes. She then got ready to leave since she didn't want the group to notice her absence.

((Um, hello there. I'm not sure if this RP is still active, but if it is, maybe I join? I know this is a very long running RP, so if I would be too much of an odd-one out given how late I am, I fully understand. The idea just looks really interesting, given the use of endangered/extinct species))

OOC: Of course. Anyone can join anytime, though be aware, this RP uses Critically Endangered animals, with a few exceptions. Extinct animals are not allowed, although unconfirmed ones are, like for example, the thylacine.

Sybil came almost immediately after Rose asked that question. She took a nearby berry to create an excuse.
"Sorry for my delay. I didn't have any breakfast and I was hungry." she said as she munched on the berry, looking back to hope those little snakes would be okay and that they delivered her message to Skalisckin and Voracivenom. She really missed them. Although she has seen the python as a scary threat, her respect for the longtime friends remained the same, and she wasn't going to let the python change her back to her previous opinion of snakes.

Name: Raul
Species: Kouprey
Personality: Raul is a real level-headed and relaxed sort. He'd much prefer peaceful activities like friendly conversation, stargazing, or slow walks than energetic happenings. He is a great conversationalist. He is never in a hurry, though, so don't expect him to get anything done quickly. If you need someone to vent your feelings to, good advice, or just want to chat about something simple and dull, he's your bovine.
Goal: To find a place where he can live quietly and peacefully, settling down and finding his inner solace.

Name: Harland
Species: African Wild Ass
Personality: Harland is incredibly unfocused, easily entertained by small things. While annoyed with relative ease, he is nigh impossible to draw into a full rage. He's by no means the brightest bulb in the bunch, but he means well and tries his best. He is fascinated by the mysterious and unknown. This fellow will wander aimlessly by his lonesome, seeking new things, but always welcomes friends.
Goal: Generally seeks to discover things never seen or heard of before. No matter how minuscule, he would be delighted to show off his findings.

Now that were near Sayan's den, all that was in Sybil's mind was to prepare herself for Shadow's visit, the protection of the leopard and her friends, and making sure that the python was going to keep his word. Although she wasn't looking forward to have any more guests to the Haven with all the dangers right now, she didn't know that the message was still being delivered.

((OOC: So, I read that they arrive via whaleback. I'm assuming I should start having just arrived on the island))

OOC: Oh, sorry about that Waaksian. I didn't see the name. Oh well, we'll have to say that Sybil was in such a hurry that she didn't noticed him. And Shadow-Ciper, that is indeed correct, but you can say that they took a long time being the Haven dangerous now and Sybil wanting to avoid any more guests. They arrive eventually though.

Sybil arrived at Sayan's den, but she was more concerned about the foliage above. Unaware that she missed someone back there, she was more worried about the python being out there. She only met the creature two times, yet he left a heavy impression on her. In her mind, the python could be anywhere above that thick foliage, and since it could camouflage so extremely well, it could be practically invisible.

From the distant seas arrived two new guests to Haven, unrelated, but traveling alongside one another anyways. The arrival had been terribly delayed, almost as if they weren't quite wanted to arrive, but thankfully, patience had born fruit, and a distant island glistened into view, growing in front of the two newcomers eyes. The young African wild ass nudged his traveling companion with his shoulder, eagerly attempting to garner his attention as the island drew closer. "Look, we're nearly there!" cried the wild ass. The kouprey riding alongside him had been deep in rest, and released a vivid yawn as he was urged awake. While he traveling companion was eager and energetic, the bovine was far less, taking plenty of time to shake the sleepiness out of his eyes a the island grew quite large. He stared, blinking. He then quietly agreed, with earned an agitated groan from the wild ass. A short while later, the orca which had brought them drew to a halt, allowing the riders time to depart. The wild ass leaped off instantly, bounding up and down as he waited for the kouprey to climb down. The kouprey released another yawn, then thanked the orca before it departed. They had taken their first steps on the mysterious island now. Already, the wild ass's eyes were glowing.

Dagger was the only one that looked into the orca that had brought them, and remembered there were still a few members of the pod traveling around the world shortly after the drought was over. That was of course, before the python's existence was put on the map, so the Haven was still open for new residents.

The young orca found Cairo, who was the nearest, and told him the news.
"More residents? Great, more lives to worry about!" Cairo said furiously, having forgotten as well that, asides missing members of the pod, there were still a few birds bringing the news about the Haven around the world.

"But Mr. Cairo, these new residents are big. One was a bull, and the other one was, some sort of pony with long ears." Dagger explained, believing no snake could be so big as to be able to hurt those two. These news calmed Cairo a bit, though he knew Sybil was going to have even more on her paws with these new guests, though he didn't care. He was incredibly angry at her for not telling him about the python sooner.

"Well here we are at my home." Rose said. "Give me a second to get my mate." She then headed into the cave. "Sayan are you home?"

"I'm here.," Sayan said as he got up. He soon noticed the new visitor.

Sybil remained by Crystal's side to make sure Sayan wasn't nervous or anything by her visit. It was now afternoon and she still had a lot of things to do. She wanted to keep herself occupied as long as possible to avoid falling asleep, but she knew that was inevitable. Shadow was going to return sooner or later, so she truly hoped that the blessing was genuine and not sme sort of ruse. She still feared for the caracal's services. She thought Crystal was going to ask for something in return sooner or later.

"I see. You... you may proceed.," Sayan said sounding hesitant but giving a slight bow to the visitor. He was unsure-- but as long the others seemed alright with it.

"You may.," Sayan nodded moving aside to allow Crystal ample room. He watched closely... observing Crystal and the reaction of the others.

Sybil simply lay down while the procedure was completed, wanting to escort the caracal personally to the outback once she was finished. Sybil imagined the cat would want to go home after her blessing, and since Sybil doubted the warblers would take an outback resident living at their homes too kindly, she didn't want her to stay for too long, even if that was against her hospitality rules.

Sayan did as directed and proceeded to stand in the middle of the circle. He watched closely as the caracal did her thing.

"Yes they will. If I explain all to them, they will get it no matter what." Sybil said, knowing the faith and loyalty the birds from the island deposited on her.

"Alright. Just leave me a list of the things you'll need and I'll get to work immediately." Sybil said, believing that the warblers in particular were going to have no problem with the request, since it wasn't only to stop Shadow, it would give them an excuse to leave the Haven for a while and force the python to keep his promise.

"Is that all? Well, that's not so hard... well, except the flower of course." Sybil expressed, relieved that there weren't any more complicated ingredients. She didn't need a list to memorize the name of that flower.

"Well, I'm off now. Rose, you escort Crystal home while I gather the warblers to the kea tree. You can meet me there later if you want." Sybil said, heading off. She would have preferred to escort the caracal and her raven friend herself, but time was valuable. That was going to be a long afternoon. An old warbler that happened to be nearby heard everything, but without telling the civet anything, he flew off to find Peepers and give him the news. He didn't know what was going on, or why that strange ritual he just witnessed, but he decided to make things easy for the civet by gathering the rest of the warblers to the kea tree to have her explain everything.

The kouprey tilted his head a trifle, eyeing the sights of the island. He was half surprised nobody had arrived to greet the duo yet, it was equal levels astonishing as it was unnerving. He released a loud exhale, easing his muscles and bones into a more relaxed sensation. "This place is beautiful," hummed the wild ass abruptly, catching the attention of his far more relaxed companion nearby. The kouprey hadn't expected the other to remain. He had spent most of the trip fidgeting and twitching, looking as though he were two seconds from leaping off the orca and trying to paddle his way there. The wild ass gazed now to the kouprey. "We should keep going. I don't think anyone's around right now. I want to meet new people."

As much as the kouprey had not been planning to stick around the energetic equine friend, their current objectives happened to overlap right now. "If you can keep a slow pace, I will stick with you a while longer. I was hoping to inform someone we had arrived," the kouprey responded, eyes locked on the wild ass. "Then I need a nap."

"You slept the entire way here!" bayed the wild ass, shock lining his face. He shook his head. "Nevermind, let's go!" He began to trot forward quickly, paused, then proceeded at a lower pace.

Meanwhile at the beach Stripes was patrolling when he spotted the two new arrivals. "H-hey you two. Are you new around here?"

"Let Rose help you. She knows this Haven as much as I do. I really need to go free warblers are going to bring you that flower." Sybil declared, really in a hurry.

The wild ass's ears perked up as he heard a voice. He skidded to a halt, and likely would have caused his friend to bump into him had he not been pacing himself very slowly. "Oh?" The wild ass quickly noticed stripes. "Hi there! Sorry I missed you. Flighty, flighty," he said with a small chuckle. "Yeah, him and I are brand new arrivals. This place already seems nice, though."

The kouprey nodded his head in greeting. "Hello there. I was not certain if someone were planning to meet us or not. It didn't seem as though there were any way to announce our arrival. My name is Raul."

"And I'm Harland!" cried the young wild ass excitedly. "Who are you?"

"She has a point Sybil. If we still need her help she will need to temporarily stay here." Rose said.

Sybil groaned at the idea, but since she was willing to try anything to be free of Shadow, she knew he had to oblige.
"Oh fine. Just try not to get in the warbler's way. There are few of them now, but they are still very protective of their home and they don't like the outback residents too much." Sybil warned, knowing how hard it could be to talk to the little birds.

"Well I'm off to the reunion. I'll be back as soon as I explain to them everything." Sybil Sid, heading to the kea's tree. Ami the seagull was looking for her through the foliage to announce the two newcomers, but since the civet was so busy, she didn't take notice of her.

Meanwhile, at the kea's tree, the old warbler gave the news to Peepers and Mambo and they both flew around to give the news.
"Man, another reunion. There isn't any rest in this Haven lately." Mambo commented, not sounding like complaining, but more to look for conversation. Peepers simply rolled his eyes, as they both headed their separate ways to give the news faster.

Sybil arrived at the tree, as usual, having a lift thanks to the strong Cole.
"You may want to wait here for a while Miss Sybil. An old warbler arrived here and knows you want another meeting, so that is being taken care of." Cole explained, with Sbil a bit startled on how the old warbler knew about that. She tried not to give it too much thought though, and accepted Cole's hospitality and food he could offer.

Raul stepped forward, managing to somehow respond before Harland could. "Thank you, Stripes, that would be very helpful if we could meet them. Please, lead the way."

Harland flicked his ears once. "Yeah! Sounds good! I can see the island as we walk." His eyes glistened once more at the thought of what this island held, what secrets might rest within, be them good or bad.
