MIGHTY MAGISWORDS!
It's a dumb show, but it's a fun show. If you're looking for a deep, introspective cartoon, this show is NOT it. MM is very fast-paced, weird and stupid... BUT I LOVE IT! The pacing may get on some people's nerves, but if you can look past that then I think you're in for a surprisingly good time. The show is funny. It takes a bunch of tropes from current mediocre kid's shows and makes them humorous for once! I hate to bring up Teen Titans Go, but MM does a lot of things that TTG does but comedically and not cringe inducing. I say, give it a chance! If you don't like it, that's totally okay. Still, it gives me just a tiiiiiiny bit of hope that CN still knows what it's doing

Well, apart from scrambling to catch up with Skylands Academy, I've also gotten kinda hooked on Yokai Watch. It's not quite as good as the game and has a little bit of a weird pacing, but it's still kinda cute.

^I saw Yokai Watch as well, but I expected something else. It's a little entertaining, but I thought the way the stories are told was going to be so much different. I still see it when there is nothing else, but it's not something I would follow vigorously, which is a shame considering the creators did my most favorite series of game

This is just what I think about that show. I don't love it, but it's still entertaining despite being so absurd. What I really like about it is that it's a rest from the deep and dark storylines so many cartoons have lately. MM is a welcoming change of plot. It's not wrong wanting a goofy cartoon like this, like so many use to be.

I gave Skylanders Academy a watch, and I really didn't like it so much, at first, I thought because that isn't like the Spyro I knew at all, but once I started to think about a show like that with other characters, I realized I wouldn't like it just the same. It's a bit odd and slow for me.

Breaking Bad
I watched all the 5 seasons in the space of a week, and I have got to say that this was a ride that will be hard to match again. There was a few characters that just frustrated me when they were on like Skylar and Marie, but apart from these two bores every other character had at the very least a good amount of personality to them. My favourite season was 5 without a doubt. Every episode in that season was entertaining unlike season 4 which had a slow start but gradually picked up as it went along. I'm very happy that I gave this amazing show a watch and I can't wait to watch it again with my brother who hasn't seem it yet. 9.5/10

Currently working through season 3 of Transformers: Robots in disguise.
The animation took a huge hit from prime, and it seems to be more "kid friendly" which really got on my nerves for the first season. But once it's revealed this is a continuation of Prime's story I couldn't not watch it. Season 1 was pretty meh in all regards until the end of the season when Optimus comes back. Season 2 we get introduced to windblade, a quazi mary sue autobot but is still easily the best character in this series. That is until soundwave cameos near the end of the season and proceeds to stomp everybody, which was awesome, even if he did end up getting sealed back in the shadow dimension again. Ratchet comes back for the last two episodes of season 2 which was awesome. He's not quite as sassy as in prime, and there's something off about his model, but I'm not sure why. They start season 3 with digging around the old base from prime, which is neat. It's pretty clear they're trying to do as much fanservice as possible. While still making more toys to appease corporate. I don't really like the idea of mini-cons, as it really doesn't make any sense to me, as well as all the cons that look like animals are really goofy, but if it means we get more throwbacks to Prime, I'm still gonna watch. I hear a certain traitorous winged maniac is coming back early season 3.... EDIT: Which is true. I'm not sure whether netflix only has the first six episodes of season three, or if season three is only six episodes. More or less Starscream is hunting down some poor excuse to sell toys ("minicons" that turn into weapons) that power up whoever has them. He looks completely different, a throwback to his original design from the first series. They have some explanation for it, but it's weak. They do explain how he escaped from the predacons at the end of the prime movie (quite humorously I might add). More or less, whoever has all these midgets becomes super powered and yadda yadda. Starscream gets all of them, becomes super powerful as well as obtaining the dark star sabre <3, and swears revenge on bumblebee, Optimus, AND Megatron. There's a big fight, bots pull some trickery resulting in Scream losing his superpowers and being shut down. During this time we never see him transform, which kinda got on my nerves. What also drives me crazy is I can't count the number of times they mentioned megatron, yet he never shows up. I'm hoping this means he'll show up in a future episode, but I'll be really disappointed if they tease him this much only for it to be the end. EDIT 2: Apparently the "season 3" that I watched wasn't actually season 3, and was instead season 2.5, a sort of miniseries before they make season 3. Good, now megatron can come back. Oh, and bring back zombie airachnid while you're at it.

The Ben 10 Reboot-
Ehhhh... I have supremely mixed feelings on it. I mean... it's funny sometimes, and I like seeing a "Freak of the Week" type show on nowadays, but I don't know. Everything else is just so crap. The art style is crap, the modern cartoon tropes they use are crap and the villains (so far) are crap. I'll give it more of a shot later, but for now, I am not into it. 4/10 |

^Haven't seen that one yet, but it didn't look nowhere near as good as the original series. Honestly, if a series was good, there is no need for a stupid reboot. I still can't forgive what was done with Teen Titans. The original series was more than just a decent show, and then they had to come up with that shameful reboot!
Why can't they just reboot series that were bad in the first place? At least that way, they try to make up for the mistake of the first

I'm giving it a go. BBC America was piggybacking its preview commercials on the new season of Doctor Who pretty hard, so I went ahead and set both to DVR. To be honest, up until now, it didn't occur to me that the entire season would have already aired in Britain, but probably should've, seeing as that's how most of the British shows are. Some people get ridiculously excited and go online to find pirated british feeds, but I'm more than content just to watch as they come out here. But yeah, America is through episode 4. The episodes are a bit slower paced than regular Doctor Whos, and they're a bit campy (honestly, in parts the choreography and dialogue (of the Shadow Kin specifically) reminds me of the Power Rangers serials my little kids watch on netflix - not a glowing recommendation, but whatever), BUT, there are definitely a few intriguing storytelling devices, and it's clever that they've brought the teen angst genre to the Whovian world. Character development is actually quite good, I think. I could do with a little less onscreen spontaneous teen boffing, mostly because I consider the glorification of such by the film and tv industry reckless and, as I've observed in many cases, psychologically damaging, especially to teens. Shoot, adding that to a relationship messes up plenty of well-adjusted adults who have plenty of life's experience. Add it to every other social pressure teens face today and I fear it does much more harm than good. But I digress. They've introduced a bunch of potential plot devices (weapons, xeno-possessions, and they'll obviously need to resolve the Shadow Kin situation, along with the Quill-prisoner thing) and it'll be fun to see which ones they actually write in. At this point I'll be interested to see if they bring Capaldi back to wrap it up at the end (so don't spoil it for me). I assume they're at least planning a second season. (BTW, do I recall correctly that this is Capaldi's last season? Any scuttlebutt on the new Doctor?) But, to answer the thread question, my wife and I have recently finished the first seasons of both The Crown and Victoria (mmm, Clara is (was (sniff)) my muse. I miss her. Don't mind Bill, but wow). Looking forward to subsequent seasons. We also binged Stranger Things. Fun show. E.T. meets Goonies meets Close Encounters meets Elm Street. It just amazes me that you young kids watching that thinking how ridiculously old it looks is like when I watched 50s and 60s movies thinking the same thing. |

It has to be none other than the Dangerous Brothers, and with Rik Mayall & Adrian Edmondson at the helm you can guess for yourselves what happens. When they're not torturing one another, they're performing terror attacks on the BBC or demonstrating to viewers how to [interact with a mate]. The TV show I'm currently watching is Zzzap!, a children's TV show from the 90s in the same league.... only with slightly less mutilation.
