Yup. Sad part is that there are plenty of non-"lose hope in humanity" SVU episodes and plenty of regular old police drama CSI episodes - but when I catch them watching it's the newest variation of Fur and Loathing in Las Vegas(now with goths/geeks/other unpopular lifestyles!) or another cringy plot.

I tend to feel that while Pixar is a Disney company, their animated films are classified as a different company to Walt Disney Animation. E.g. Cars 3 is a movie distributed by Disney, but it is not a Disney animated movie like Moana is.

For me the big animation companies working today go as Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, Blue Sky, Illumination, Laika, Sony Animation, and Warner Animation. Pixar to me is its own company that does its own animated films, despite being owned and distributed by Disney.

Dreamworks and Illumination are now also under the same parent company (Comcast). But I don't think anyone would try to claim that Sing and Trolls are by the same guys.
