Hey all. Happy Turkey Day for all you Americans. I just wanted to ask for your advice. If Godzilla 2014 and Godzilla 2016 clashed, who would win? I didn't see Shin Godzilla (I missed it and I'm mad about that), so I don't know how powerful Godzilla 2016 is. Does anybody have any idea of who would win and why? I'm writing this fan-fiction fight on a website I have an account, so I'd really like to have accurate results. Thanks to those that help out!

Hard to tell, American Godzilla is much more real and natural, but clearly packs a super mega ultra ton of power, while Shin Goji is more unnatural and is more out there with his powers. Like the

2014 Godzilla. Conventional weapons (read: bombs, missiles, etc) easily drew blood from Shin Godzilla, so another monster would absolutely destroy him.

However, from what I understand, Shin Godzilla isn't fully evolved yet. So there's that.

But who's laser is stronger? That can make a big difference.

Also,can't Shin Godzilla shoot lasers from his tail or something ridiculous like that?

Also, last question, when writing the fan-fiction, should I refer to Godzilla 2016 as that or Shin Godzilla?

Yes, he can! But, it kind of shoots in various places and would likely have ah hard time aiming at Godzilla 2014, but his tail might be able to shoot at G14.


Altho, it seems that Shin Goji is almost zombie like and likely means he damages easily, as shown in the movie.

Oh shoot, I just looked into it and Godzilla 2016 has a purple breath that can cut through anything...that means that he'll either win or lose just by hair and inflict nasty wounds on Godzilla 2014.

My advice is not to take our word for it; go on WikiZilla, Toho Forums, places like that and see where the true nerds have practically fought over things like this. Also, it's your story. Make it end how you want!

And he isn't very durable but he evolves and part of the point is that he can adapt and will refuse to be killed. And he's absolutely more destructive than 2014 Godzilla.

As he gets damaged he merely changes from it and becomes increasingly violent to a point where the government almost goes the nuclear option in attempt to stop it (which frankly probably wouldn't have worked).

His atomic breath poses a massive risk to both any other monsters and anything in a several mile radius. All he has to do is spew gas before lighting it up.

Okay so Godzilla 2016 wins.

It's a little hard to tell and I'd have to rewatch the films to make a proper assessment but that's just from what I see so far.

Shin Gojira isn't on DVD yet so it'll have to wait.
