I still haven't seen Cars 2 so can't judge off that but Cars 1 is genuinely good. I have reasonably high hopes for this.

I like this trailer because it's basically Pixar saying "we know we have something to prove with this movie". They're trying to make an impact from the very start. At the very least, this one won't be another pure toy commercial like Cars 2 was, it's going to at least try to tell an interesting story.

Cars 2 was the only baaaad thing Pixar made. Brave was okay, the first Cars too. I personally love Monsters Inc. and The Good Dinosaur.

I can't fairly say my favorite and least favorite Pixar films since there's a pretty sizable gap where I didn't and still haven't seen many of their films. I still haven't seen anything they put out after Toy Story 3 and before Inside Out, and I also missed The Good Dinosaur.

Of what I've seen at least, favorite is probably Finding Nemo, Wall-E, or Ratatoullie, and least favorite is Bug's Life.

"Can" doesn't mean "will" be a good movie. Cars especially as it was said in this thread already, benefits nothing from their world because the cars act could be replaced by people with the odd pun and plot relevant info.
