So the upcoming live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movie has a teaser trailer now...



I don't like it.

I mean visually it looks pretty cool, and there are some beautiful shots taken, but that's about it.

Yet the entire cast is Japanese for a franchise that is based on western culture.

I don't really care who plays the characters as long as they give a good performance. It would be off, sure, but if the performance is great then I don't care. But it's still something that really bothers me, especially since this director wants to be as faithful and respectful to the source material as possible. And also considering the poor track record for live action anime adaptations, both made by Hollywood and Japan, I don't have my hopes up too high.

Plus there's all the questionable decisions they're making with it, such as:

-The ENTIRE FMA storyline is apparently going to be told in this one movie. So either the FMA story won't get a proper treatment that it deserves or they're already planning sequels without telling anyone.
-Alphonse is going to be completely CGI, which isn't a problem, but he's the only visual effect in this trailer that doesn't look that impressive.
-Edward is apparently 20 years old instead of 15, which is really questionable since part of what makes Edward a unique protagonist is that in this world he's still just a kid stuck in a larger-than-life situation.

And the trailer itself isn't really set up that well. I really think they should've waited longer before making any trailer of sort, because this isn't constructed very well. ESPECIALLY when the trailer just abruptly ends(and speaking of that, I have watched FMA Brotherhood twice and I still have no idea what that thing at the end of the trailer that was chasing Edward was).

This movie is giving me the same vibes as the Attack on Titan movies. And while I haven't seen them at all, I know about how hated they are within the AoT fandom. Here's to hoping I'm completely wrong and this movie lives up to expectations.

I think I'm addicted to honey, apricot, and vanilla iced tea. I've had about a litre of it today.

I know that it is generational thing but if there is really a thing in modern world done bad, it is popular music. Rhythms are boring and melody is dead. Focus on singer and general vocals is overly fanatic and overall storytelling of music is forgotten. This is highly worrying thing since the record label songwriters are scientifically trained to produce catchy music which is a job they have miserably failed at. It seems that modern music is more about being a social media phenomenon rather than to be innovator of melodies, rhythms, music scales and songwriting. It is monotonic utter crap which’s message is about self-serving shallow populism rather than about profound artistic pursuit with ambitious creative process.

It's always this time of the year when I get back into R&C for some reason. Only this time it's a little worse. I beat the first game 5 times last week, due to no internet. Then I just found myself beating it again yesterday, and the Qwark battle still annoys me every time.

In other thoughts, why is it so dark at 2pm
