Demo's honestly boring compared to the full game. I'd give it a shot if I were you, or watch the first hour of gameplay.

Yo-Kai Watch has a lot of Yo-Kai either based on the real Yo Kai lore or pop culture or in this case real people?

And yes, I have played Yo-Kai Watch before.

Honestly, that's why I like it so much. The Yo-Kai themselves have a lot more personality than Pokémon.

Yo-Kai seems to be more focused on developing the creatures than Pokémon, that is focused on creating a gigantic range of creatures, like real animals filling the world. At least that's how I see it. Well... Each has their own thing, from what I've seen.
