All I was saying is that I'm reading poetry! I didn't mean to get into an argument! And I mean't society is overreacting!

That isn't even an attempt at justifying your claim that depression isn't real.

So this sentence where you specifically state how their depression isn't real:
Quote: Alydol
When everyone's talking about a Trump winning and their stupid "depression" that isn't real

You didn't say that? Did the Clinton Illuminati burst through your window and type that?

Depression is a real thing! It's just that there saying that they have it when the majority of people who are saying trump caused it aren't telling the truth!

Wow, Alydol, surely everyone's in great standing in society like you. All cookie cutter with no minorities or welfare that could be in risk.

Also you're posting a variation of this in several threads again like it's going to make this kind of view ok. Are people overreacting? Maybe. Should you be the one to decide if their anxiety is real or not? No.

Quote: mega spyro
It's a good thing you're trained to diagnose depression over the internet than. I mean, you must be, otherwise telling people that their depression isn't real would just be a dick move, right?

Quote: 84skylanderdude
Haha

Yeah, a legitimate mental illness DEFINITELY doesn't exist

Odds are there's a lot of people online suddenly claiming to have clinical depression over the results of a single election. In the same way you chide Alydol for armchair diagnosing others as not having depression, these people may be self-diagnosing themselves as clinically or severely depressed after a single day. This would be on the same level as those who claim to have OCD or PTSD over tiny things that don't matter.

Could it be possible Alydol is referring to those people rather than those who have been officially diagnosed and have been dealing with it since before the election?

People still get their anxiety really messy over events, it's not something anyone should write off just because it's politics.

Never had pumpkin pie for any event(heck I don't remember the last time I ate one). Xmas for me was always delicious heart-of-palm salad, turkey, chester chicken(which I know is hormones incarnate but I find delicious), and whatever relatives bring this year.

Retail employees being forced to leave their dinner early at the risk of getting fired due to Black Friday?

Idk, we don't have Thanksgiving here either. Usually New Years' Eve is the second turkey dinner+being thankful for stuff of the year for us.

I love these dates because of food. Well, at least it's a reason.

Also, Bifrost, what's that salad you talked about? Don't know.

Generally..... The principle is the whole family gets together to have a meal and reflect on what we're thankful for with all businesses closed so that people can spend time together as a family.

However this usually ends up in practice resulting in one family member working their ass off in the kitchen all day for a large and ungrateful family while all the men watch football. The kids run around making a mess, and everyone else not helping out gathers in various corners to gossip about each other. At some Christmas comes up and many members exchange Christmas lists or just general parents passing their kids lists on to grandparents. From the lists being exchanged, we end up with Black Friday the day after, which causes retail workers to have to leave dinner earlier and miss time with families so they can show up earlier to retain a low paying job that treats them like **** just so they can get trampled the next morning or late that evening by a bunch of greedy people fighting over discount electronics and toys to give out as Christmas gifts. In the end, no one actually reflected on what they were thankful for and the true meaning was lost all in the name of preparing for Christmas.

Subnautica is an amazing game and I wish I could play it (can't because bad pc), but at the same time it scares the **** out of me just watching someone else play it, making me glad I don't have it. Watching someone go into the biome with the Sea Dragon Leviathan (and then get ****ing lost) was terrifying just watching, I'd probably have a heart attack if I was the one playing it.

A surprise that some people might say isn't worth the effort.

That reminds me, I still have to get the last couple of stars in 64 and the very last star in Galaxy 2.

Well, I want to complete the game before I lend it to my friend. Just in case.

The last star of Galaxy 2 is easy. Not. I haven't even beaten it yet, which is why I'm doing the first game instead.
