A star named bitterness will hit the earth. [CLOSED]

And yes it will come from the west. Even worse is there are many Asteroids, meteors, meteorites and a comet are already appearing right next to the earth. Yet some have already hit the sky of the earth, one even striking near the ground. And some of you don´t know what this means, this means that one star is coming forth. For many smaller ones will come and pass, yet the one big one will hit, and it will be no joke. I´m not saying that this planet will be hit within a couple of years, but I´m saying that it is likely.

Ah yes, a star can fall into the Earth instead of, you know, Earth not being reduced to dust before we even see it in full. Stars are also several times bigger than a planet usually.

A star can be a planet, a sun, and even a meteor. A star is anything that shines brightly in the night sky.

Ah yes a star, you know those things that also called suns which are a lot bigger, hotter, and have planets revolve around it instead of it revolving around planets.

A planet still has to be pretty big to be visible as such for us to call it that. So it's not going to fall here like a meteorite, it'd crush the Earth and go about its business.

This was what people knew back then. everything was a star except the moon and the sun, and the earth and the planets.

No. Here's the definition of star:

"A star is a luminous sphere of plasma held together by its own gravity." A meteor is not made of plasma.

In the modern sense yes this is true, but we are talking about someone back in A.D. 95 who knew only the things of that time.

Then if you want to call it asteroid, why not just call it an asteroid, instead of saying it's a sun?

Well I just figured out that the world will not listen to God´s select people, when they give warnings, not until too late. Let me also say this, has the sun felt hotter in the past 5 years.

Oh, sorry, thought Forgotten World actually knew what he was talking about for once. I'm pretty sure God doesn't keep the sun in a termostat and raises it to warn people. It's not going to cause trouble until a solar flare happens(not related to the sun geting hotter directly?) or it grows too big(not going to happen on several millennia).

So Alydol I bet you have read the book of revelations, and I know you have read the book of John. So in the Bible do you think that Some people write things by interpretation, or by mostly by the times it was written in.

I'll just completely ignore the nearly 2000-year-old superstitions, and take the opportunity to educate people on the fact that there is an actual asteroid that could potentially hit Earth in the relatively near-future.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/99942_Apophis

I wouldn't worry too much about it though. The chance that this asteroid actually does hit Earth in April 12, 2068 is approximately 1 in 149,000.

Well, that's an asteroid though, not a star. Looks like a star, not a star.

Though Apophis did like to eat the sun regularly, so maybe there's a joke there.

Forgotten World is quoting a new translation of the Book of Revelations. He's just being figurative. In the more usual translation the "star" (that miraculously landed all over the Earth at once, by the way) is called "Wormwood", and it turns a third of Earth's waters into a bitter, toxic substance much like absinthe.

So basically that could also mean that a third of Earths water will be transformed into booze. Either way it's just as ridiculous.

Even if it did hit Earth it wouldn't destroy Earth. Hell, it wouldn't even destroy a half a continent, and we would know where it was going to hit in advance.

Sure, it'd be rough, but we'd go on living.

Another reason I hate the internet is seeing these trends of meteorites coming soon and possibly hit Earth, killing us all.

It's depressing and just one thing I don't want in my life. I wanna die an old man (at least try and make it to 80) and on my death bed.

I don't understand what you're saying. Are you saying you'd prefer we didn't have the internet, and that we wouldn't know if a meteor was headed for us until we see it in the sky?
