There's a lot of great video game music out there, so not all of it can get the popularity others do, even if they're just as good as the big guys.

Let's try to show some these rather overlooked video game themes some attention here!

Stronger Monsters - Undertale

Land of the Livid Dead / Chasing a Dream - Rayman Orgins

Sullied Grace - Kirby Triple Deluxe

I don't like to use the word "underrated", but, if I was going to talk about some unpopular video game music I really like, I would say...

Crash of the Titans/Mind Over Mutant soundtrack. Maybe it's not good, but I love it. Mind Over Mutant's songs are very "dumb", "cartoony" and "retarded", but I think it fits Crash. The Titans soundtrack has more dramatic and intense songs, but I kinda like it.

Also, Skylanders. People generally don't talk much about it besides the few fans who appreciate it. Maybe because there's not much people who play the games besides kids who don't appreciate the artistic value of a video game. But the soundtrack is great for me. It's a perfect balance between cinematic and "video game style" songs, which are epic, dramatic, catchy, funny and great to hear, at least for me.

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time's soundtrack.

In the fandom, it's almost universally despised because the composer who'd done all the rest of the music to that point was replaced, because Insomniac wanted a more "cinematic soundtrack." But I really like it and it was my favorite in the series until Ratchet & Clank 2016 came out. <.>;

So much. Everyone talks about the music levels or the big ones in the soundtracks, but where's the love for Fire When Wetty, Strategy and Spying, and Laser Accordion? They all play in single levels but boy do they make their mark.

While not many people talk about Pokemon Dash (it's not a very good game and there isn't really much in it to talk about anyway), I do like all the music in that game. It's one of those games I used to play just to listen to the music.

They are the best soundtracks in the series, in my opinion. That bass line in The Spy Who Kicked Me is just amazing.

What a coincidence. I'm hearing Land of the Livid Dead ~ Nowhere to Run. Great song.

Pretty much everything from the Battle For Bikini Bottom soundtrack. Such an enjoyable soundtrack.

Nowhere to Run is pretty amazing and definately feels like it fits the level better than Chasing a Dream; at least until the plataformer hell part.

I think all Japanese music in underrated. It's probably easier to have ambient western orchestral music in Japanese games than to have emotional melodies in a single AAA western title.

Also, The Almighty King Bowser and Tiki Tong's Theme. People don't talk much about it, so I guess they are not much into those two. But I love them.

Not sure if this is "underated" but...

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue Rescue Team: The bit where you run from town and the farewell scene.
While I do prefer the soundtrack of the second game, these two tracks just really stand out to me.

Angry Birds 2. People don't expect much from a mobile game them something like this appears:

Idra Cave-Rune Factory 4

Army Men Sarges Heroes Theme. Still locked in my brain to this day.

Pretty much the entire Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm soundtrack. My favorite from it is Dance of the Fairies, the Mana battle theme.
