I mean, come on!

Zombie bandwagoning. The game is set in an alternate dimension unrelated to the core MG 'verse, meaning they're literally just slapping Metal Gear in the title to ride on the success of the franchise. And the "co-op focus" is just the game saying it is so impotent that you need to find somebody else if you want to have any fun. This game is literally a cuckold!

as someone who has played RE5 all the way through on pretty much every single difficulty, i fail to see how it reminds you of RE5.

I was going to make a Kojima joke but I honestly don't know if this is making Kojima kek because Konami is digging deeper into their hole or if Kojima is saying hello to the darkness because Konami is basically slapping his baby right in front of him

Konami is run by old Japanese executives fueled by ego, pettiness and outdated ideals. The Metal Gear games are known for being unique with Kojima on the helm or at least have give some support for other ones. Without Kojima, Konami is free to chase whatever's trending or something people are sick off.

MG"S' is yet another four-player co-op zombie game like all the other ones. Eventually we'll get one that's another Ubiworld, a linear CoD-clone, a tower-defence, F2P-exploitation and just about any other trend most gamers are sick of.
