According to my mom, it was "hat". Apparently my dad had this hat I didn't like as a baby, because I would say it every time he put it on.

I know it's unrelated to first words, but my dad told me a funny story about when I was young. My parents have always been super diligent about not swearing and being a positive influence for us ever since we were young, which I appreciate because it's really affected me in a good way. However, one time my dad slipped and said the f-word in front of me, which I apparently repeated back, not knowing any better. It's hilarious how I've sworn worse and more as a baby than as a person at my current age. smilie

One time my mom told me a story about my first swear. For context, my mom has no restraint about swearing whatsoever. It's always "F this" and "F that" and "God dammit!" and "Oh, $***!". So it makes sense that I picked up a few new words. Apparently when I was a kid I got really mad about something, so I shouted "If you don't cut that out, I'm gonna kick your ass!"

And then my mom was like "What did you say!?"

And then I replied, "I said, I'm gonna kick your ass!"

Irrelevant, but kinda funny if you ask me.

If we're all talking about swearing now, I never did until our neighbors moved in and the younger one was dancing around going "****'s sake" and I joined in. Apparently my mother looked at his father and said "my child is supposed to learn to swear from me, not your three-year old." I think she was joking.

the fist time i swore was when i told my little brother to get the **** out.


i was like 3 or four, had him at the front door, pointing to the outside.(He was only 1 or 2)

my mom found it really funny, but i still got in trouble.

Okay, since we are talking about swearing now, my mom hates swearing, and so does my dad, but sometimes my dad slips, and my sister likes to say ****.

Anyways, I accidentally said ****, not going to get into details, and I also accidentally said "What the H***" oops. I also swear a lot in my head. Once I think I said God's name in vain as well, oops. This was all a year ago, by the way. Actually, 2014-2016

My dad always swears but I never do (just once). I just say "idiot", "jerk", childish "bonehead" or "blockhead", and sometimes I come up with comebacks or a really bad pun.

Imma tell you guys about my sister cursing now because I feel like it

She was sitting with my mother somewhere and there was water dripping. The cats had spilled their water. So my mother said "****ing cats" and my sister repeated. So she was sitting on the step when someone came over and my mother told them to watch what they said around her and she was muttering "****ing cats"
