I was in the mood to build something really awesome in Minecraft a week or so ago. As soon as I turned my laptop on, though, it died. RIP. Now I can't play Minecraft anymore. ;~;

My laptop gets really hot when I play any 3D game, so it shuts of to avoid overheating. The fan in the laptop is broken, so I got a cooling pad, but it still does it. I get like an hour or two before it shuts off. Even less when I'm using mods.

Yep, I played very frequently quite a few years ago. I was even making my own world that was based off puzzle maps, where you have to solve various puzzles and find secret exits all the way through, with diamonds being hidden everywhere as bonuses. I don't mind as much if I'm unable to recover my other worlds (even though they remind me of my friend I don't see much anymore), but I'd be really disappointed to lose that one.

I played Minecraft a good bunch, and I still like it,but I can't have as much fun playing than watching. My anxiety skyrockets and I feel like a coward if I switch to Peaceful, even if the days and nights go by with not a monster in sight. Always had more fun playing with friends, that have long fallen out of it because the X360 version won't stop crashing(and their PCs are somehow worse than mine), or watching the Mindcrack group, even though only a few play it anymore and it's mostly modded.

Beta 1.8 was like in 2011
Release 1.8 was the Bountiful Update and was mostly Water Temples, coding and aesthetic stuff

beta 1.8. not a bad update in itself, it was just the foundation for all the ****ty future updates.
i can play recent versions, i don't hate it, it's just some of the content they're adding just isn't minecraft. i am never playing any version that's after the combat update. no, just no.

I didn't even have the game at the time so I have no idea. I do think that post-combat update everything just looks kinda thrown at the game when they feel like it though. Wow, 1.10, let's add sand zombies, snow skeletons, magma blocks, auto-jump(???), and a dozen other things with no themeing. I know the team is crippling small, but even just 3 people with no planning can get pretty messy.
Long are the times of Pretty Scary and the Adventure Update, I remember being so hype for them and the mostly tight theme and that was the time I played the most I think; until anxiety scared me off again.

Imo, it went downhill after 1.9 Right after 1.9 , they had update 1.10! Oh well, it's still a good game to play on servers...waiting for The Potato Nation to get updated to 1.10.2

I don't mind Minecraft, used to enjoy it and probably still would, I just fell out of it. Maybe the constant updates turned me off, not the content itself, just the fact to keep getting an update.

I never liked Minecraft. I don't know... I just never enjoyed it. Didn't help that "Minecraft YouTubers" are basically jokes in the community. Also, the Minecraft toyline is made by my least favorite toy company ever, so screw that!

God don't remind me of the toyline. I want a Guardian figurine so bad but I'm not spending exorbitant amounts of money for something I can make out of polymer clay at 1/5 of the price. Not that I'd make one, I'm really not that into the game's designs anymore, though I still have a soft spot for the demon fish things.
