only people who grew up with glasses will know the true struggles when:

you take off your glasses and then everything is so blurry, and then you put them back on and suddenly trees have leaves again and not big green blurs and you realize how blind you are without them

people asking to try them on and being like, "woah these are so blurry how do you wear these?!"

people taking off your glasses and ask how many fingers they're holding up.

drinking tea/coffee and having your glasses fog up

when someone says you look like harry potter or john lennon no matter what kind of glasses you look like

going into the shower and realizing you forgot to take your glasses off

when it rains and there are tiny little droplets on your lenses

when the eye doctor takes off your glasses and asks you to read the letters and you can reading past the third line at best

fearing the eye doctor because of eye drops or air puffs in your eyes

when it's really cold and you put your glasses on your face and they're cold so then you're even colder

when something gets on one of your lenses so you use your shirt to clean it off but it just makes a huge smudge that you can't get rid of so whenever you use your glasses there's a big smudge in one of the lenses and not the other

struggling when watching a 3D movie and having to decide whether to wear two glasses at once or not wear your regular glasses and see the movie as blurry

when someone asks to see your glasses and they hold them by the lens

when someone says you look so different without your glasses

not wanting to use contacts because you don't want to do anything involving touching your eyes

there are so many struggles

I don't wear glasses, thank god, but I do know the struggle because nearly everyone else in my family does. My mom has to wear at least 3(drive, reading, sunglasses) all the time and 3D movies are absolute hell for her, though with how dark some of them get my family does prefer 2D to begin with anyway.
Also not being the person that uses glasses means I'm also the person that looks for everyone's glasses, I guess.

I just don't go to 3D movies, because there's no way I'm going to balance two pairs of lass on my face at once, while trying to see the movie. My dad doesn't understand, and insists we go to 3D movies, even if I will get 0 enjoyment out of it.

I wore glasses until 7th grade. I've been free since then. I never realized how much of a pain glasses were until I tried on my spare ):
