That almost sounds like a combination of Spyro (Butterflies for health) and Gex (Main character grabs bugs with tongue for health and power). Not that that's bad, actually I think it's kind of cool.

They mentioned the hub is Hivory Towers on the character reveal so it's probably like Spiral Mountain vs. Grunty's Lair.

The vending machine exosuit sounds like a pun I'm not getting.

I'm going to have to agree. To be honest, she looks kind of disgusting, really.

Well, that's the point if she's mutated herself. But if the colors were closer it'd be easier on the eyes and easier to identify as well.

Beautiful screenshots. Really excited to see gameplay of it.

About the octopus character, it's ugly, but I think that's the intention. The duck character looks... Odd, but not bad.

Anda huh, Yooka-Laylee X Despicable Me crossover confirmed.

That one screenshot with the snowman and the dialogue basically sold this game to me. It encapsulates everything associated with that era of gaming they were trying to replicate and I warms my cold, cynical heart looking at it. Take notes, Mighty No 9! This is how you revive a classic genre.

Now on the actual trailer, I noticed the song is strongly lacking in steel drums. I guess Kirkhope decided to tone down in the BK inspiration. Reminds me of Croc actually.
We still didn't get to see a ton of levels but hopefully the in event footage will have more.

Aww yeah, this game is a total pass for me. Love the design and creativity of everything. Going to get it day-one, that is if I have the money.

It was on today's Kickstarter update. Before, they were just considering it, but reached the conclusion it's better to delay.

That... trailer was bliss.... classic voice acting, great demonstration of levels, agree with Bifrost on the music and it sounds dramatic. BUT WOW! I'M SO EXCITED!!
The trailer music could pass for boss music tho. But I love the style of the levels. Those are impressive character animations, looking lively, and the power-ups are a good choice.

It's like someone dug up classic Rare's corpse and dumped it into a lazarus pit, and now it's running around beautiful and naked for all of us to behold.

I like it, makes me wish I had donated to the Kickstarter at the time. But I think I'll get it... I'll just need to see whether the Wii U or PS4 version is better. <.<;

That is truly really neat to hear, and an interesting bit of trivia is that Blake Swift is also voice acting for Clive n' Wrench, another coming 3D Platformer, I like the connections, Jonathon in A Hat in Time as well, it all makes me happy
